Big Patch?
Its been mentioned in dev posts scattered across the forum, mostly in the personal story area from what I’ve seen.
Never heard of that.
In the dungeon forum it was mentioned by one of the devs that there would be a patch Monday night that would hopefully contain a fix for the dungeon loot issues. But big patch..? We’ll see.
I hope it’s a great patch, because WoW"s Pandaria comes out on tuesday.
they will be giving out panda tonics

Please, let’s not forget that, come Tuesday night, everyone on these forums whining will be on battle.net whining….
There’s a patch, whether it’s a big patch or only contains bug fixes has yet to be determined.

Thank goodness, perhaps then we can get back to some serious discussions like what color dye is the best for armor? Can you dye weapons btw?

Dude, I love this game so much I cancelled my subscription the day it released!
@nexxe
What will you do, cancel your subscription?
No, but me, and a lot of other people will just stop playing, leaving you with a lower population, and leaving you with a feeling of loneliness.

I won’t be lonely, you can be sure of that. I appreciate the concern though. I suppose we could use some shorter WvW queues.
I won’t cancel WoW at first, but I fully intend to once I complete the main Pandaria quest content. Honestly though….I preordered Pandaria. If I hadn’t done that before GW2 came out, I would probably just cancel right now.
I’ve tried to play WoW since GW2 came out, and it just doesn’t hold my interest at all anymore…

You seem to equate loneliness to less trolls. Fine by me, I will embrace this said “Loneliness”.
smack..Wut?…smack…smack…
I find it impossible to play World of Warcraft anymore after my first day in Guild Wars 2.. especially the lack of a screen filled unviewably with hundreds of buttons was such a nice change.
Haha, i have the same thoughts. I’m totally digging the simplicity after 5 actionbars filled with madness in WoW. Abilities were getting downright impossible to manage. I feel sorry for the classes that got even MORE abilities with MoP.
Only reason I ever went to WOW was because my friends played it and GW2 was announced so I felt no point in GW1 anymore. And I’m not bashing WOW, its just beat at this point.
I feel like the WoW bashing needs to stop. It just keeps dragging on the bad arguments. I’m quite certain that there are a LOT of people that played WoW and came here and are very nice. People just think that WoW was/is a fad and people hate that…. blah blah blah… so everybody just hates on it. I dislike WoW as a game and only ever played 5 minutes of it but I don’t judge others based on their game history.
I really hope there is a big patch tomorrow night. It would really go a long way in stabilizing the people (in-game and in the forum) and the game. No matter what anybody says, nobody should want a game with so few people playing it. Expansions aren’t made for games that have small player bases due to risk/cost.

I loved WOW. I just liked a lot of things about GW better. Been waiting for this game since they announced it.

Last time I got free time, i logged on for about 5 min and logged right back out. It amazes me some of my friends can still play it like it’s brand new.
I know…I mean, seriously? another wow toon…incredible
Yeah, no need to hate on WoW. I plan to go play Panderia for a month and then start back with GW2. They are both games so I don’t know why people get religious about them. Play what entertains you and let everyone else do the same.
Can’t wait to see how GW2 progresses in two months. Its already a great game but the post 50 content isn’t finished and there is some badly needed balancing to do. Still, comparing GW1 from its start to its finish inspires me with a lot of confidence in Anets ability to grow a game over time.

Good god, yes! It seems like everybody who trolls in the game is one of those WoW kiddies. Personally, I can’t wait for MoP to come out, because a lot of them will disappear! lol
Any idea of when said patch may arrive?
If there isn’t something awesome here tomorrow I’m going to cancel my subscriptions to WoW and SWTOR!
I’m sorry I stepped outta yer box, don’ worry, if
ya whine enough they’ll put me right back.
ArenaNet has moved to a once-a-week regular patch schedule, with hotfixes for emergency issues. This means tonight’s patch will contain all the bug fixes and changes which they’ve done over the last few weeks which have had time to get internally tested and added to the patch. The patch will probably come tonight around midnight PST…if they stick to what they’ve been doing previously.
How anyone could play WoW after playing this, I don’t know…but to each his/her own. As for me, I’ve found my game. =)
Here is a list with some (expected, not official!) fixes and changes:

I see the FPS generation digz teh gw2 “mmorpg” simplicity and shallownes. Awesome.
The real mmorpg crowd likes mmorpgs for their complexity, progression and rewards. All three things missing from gw2.
Oh-oh, the Battlefield 3 just got a competitor!
oh yeah, the real mmorpg crowd, what an elusive, yet awesome club. Stop speaking for an imagined collective, I have been playing MMORPGs for the last decade and I like what anet has done here. I think of MoP as a great patch for GW2, a social patch if you will, hopefully removing some of those great and legendary people of the “real mmorpg crowd” and their incessant complaining and insults from this game and forum.
Can the people leaving for MoP, the ones who think they’re the “real MMO crowd” not come back?
MoP isn’t without its own flaws. The forums are full of people complaining about the CRZ and pre-launch activities. I’m sure they will do more complaining after the expansion goes live. I have nothing against WoW in general. GW2 has spoiled me and I simply can’t go back to playing that game. I hope that all the people who do leave get their monies worth out of that expansion. When they get bored with it, GW2 will patiently be waiting their return.
Those who deny what I said – can you deny that GW2 degraded character progression, degraded rewards (which ANet admitted themselves and are working on atm), degraded complexion and depth of the game play (just look at the forum complaints)?
After you answer the first question, answer this: aren’t all those things the essence of the RPGs? Let me unravel that shortcut into it’s full name – Role Playing Game". Look back at the genre history, and think of what made it great.
It’s like making basketball look more and more like soccer, at the same time claiming you’re a huge basketball fan.
Hello,
please refrain from off-topic posting. If there is topic you would like to discuss, feel free to create a new thread in the appropriate sub-forum.

Complexity is not missing from GW2, it’s plenty complex. Try rolling something other than warrior.
