Binding mouse buttons to abilities
You’ll have to use an external program for that. Just make sure to keep it as one action per click and you’ll be fine.
what do you mean oh
you mean like x padder
that is pretty stupid cant they just add this simple simple function?
Hmm… I bought a mouse with a bunch of buttons and assigned Jump to one and Reverse (or whatever it is called) to another. I’m pretty sure I did that through the game’s interface options.
I’m not sitting in front of the game, so can’t look, but didn’t think it was difficult.
The Left and right mouse buttons already have defined functions in the game.
Left mouse selects a target and right mouse interacts with a target, same as pressing the F key.
Not sure why you would want to change them.
Multi button mice with ,more than 2 buttons can simply have the extra keys added via control options.
Mice with a large number of buttons will need the buttons defined by a 3rd party program which are usually supplied by the mouse vendor.
One thing I’ve modified was RMouse=Roll. I have a toggle key to turn it on/off as something like Invite from the menu won’t work with it on, you’ll roll instead.
They created the action mode (thank you very much!), imo it is perhaps the only thing they missed. RMouse roll is heaven.
Oh yah… used Autohotkey.
Some other nice additions could be using one button to cycle several other buttons/options.
Not sure why you would want to change them.
Action Camera!
I’d like to set RMB as Weapon Skill 4.
I wish I could set the left and right mouse buttons to do what I need them to do. I’d like the LMB to perform character turn. Turning with RMB just does not work well for me, nor does the Action Camera. There’s nothing wrong with providing flexibility. It can be a matter of playability for some people. I’m about ready to give up in frustration.
If anyone is familiar with FFXIV’s legacy camera- it provides this feature (LMB chracter turn) and makes all the difference in the world to me.
Just get a better mouse.
A Logitech G700 for example can have any mouse button defined as any key so you can make any mouse button do anything you like.
