Guild Wars 2

Finally saw those today (Been a busy week). For a moment I thought someone was wearing them with an outfit, and I thought, “Nice, a new outfit!” Went to the Gemstore, and found nothing. Did a search of the wiki and found nothing either. Finally I just looked up, “Black Wings,” and there they are; a backpack item. I was even happier. I drew forth my credit card, prepared to sink whatever I needed to get the gems to purchase this, and then when I look for it on the gem store-

It’s gone.

Any chance we could get a heads-up of when those will be available again? I worked a 9-9 shift on the day those were available, and it takes me an hour to get to work, and an hour to get home. I literally did not get a chance to even realize these were available, much less purchase them. I’d be quite irate if I had to wait months and months for another attempt.

I understand and appreciate these were meant to be a quick thing, a bit of an early access to neat things in the future, but 24 hours is far too short a time frame, especially on a weekday.

They were preview items of what’s to come in the expansion. They will be back soon enough is my bet.

I hope they bring them back soon! I missed out on these as well.. Didn’t think it would be a one day only kind of deal.

I’d just like to be able to have these -before- the Expansion to be honest. Perfect back item for a starting revenant.

Very true, wish I could give a date of when. But it’ll be a while, they could come out with different colored ones too before expansion for all we know.

Read the post again. Sounds like he probably logged in right as the sale ended, unless for some reason he was playing gw2 during one of these activities:

a) driving to work
b) working at work
c) driving home from work

Unfortunately not everyone can get on gw2 everyday. Once you realize that you’ll understand.

On a side note I hate these wings, almost died last night when a Charr blocked my view of the boss and the animations. I’m glad anet found a way to fund the game for the next few years, but not to happy about what they do to the general look and feel of the game. Maybe someone should make Crow Simulator, I bet people playing this game would buy it, lol.

I’m so mad I missed it really hope they bring it back and soon!

Honestly, I’d like to see it back sometime -this- month. Probably unrealistic, but its cruel to taunt and tease us with something so amazing.

Its kinda been awhile since that one day teaser, I’m alright with limited dates for items but… 24hours….seriously? To your loyal fans and customers who couldn’t make it that day?

If Anet doesn’t want everyone to run around with these, make them difficult to get, like the spinal blade backpiece. I would gladly farm for that, it would be awesome!

They look great, and alot of people are upset about not getting the chance to get them, I’m sure at this point Anet would get a bunch of sales from releasing them.
My two salty cents.

I live in a village ~15m drive outside of the nearest town. If I go into town I stay in town until hubby has finished work – sometimes he has soccer afterwards too, which gets me home at about 7-8pm.

I’d been eyeing these off since they’d been datamined and was so keen to buy them. The day that they came out was a day that I had to be in town all day and got back just as the sale was ending. Some guildies however knew about my circumstances and gifted them to me during the time that I was away.

I didn’t miss out, but I’ll join the chant to bring back the wings for those who did!

Any chance to know when they would be in TP again?
My guardian must have it :/

Different colors would be nice as they would prevent everyone from having black wings on them. It would also be great if you could match your outfit to the wings (I am guessing black wings do not look as good on someone who is wearing different shades of whitish colors).
