Yes. I opened a few and got a crystal each time as well as the usual drops.

There are only three reasons to save BL Keys:
- To wait for unpredictable special drops, such as this week (or two).
- To wait for predictable special drops, such as usually happen for Halloween and/or Wintersday.
- To wait until you have ‘enough’ to get at least one ‘fun’ drop (for me, ‘enough’ is usually ~10).
tl;dr might as well open them today, unless you want to hold on to them for another 4-5 months.

The process of ‘Key-running’ (Once per week/account)
Black Lion Chests
Particular Achievement Chests
Daily Log-in Black Lion Chests
Drops from foes
PvP Reward and Rank Tracks
WvW Reward Tracks
Etc.
Do be aware that most of the above sources for Keys are chances, and not guaranteed, though a few are guaranteed drops. Check the Wiki for more precise drop information.
