I don’t know if this has been discussed in another forum; apologies if it has.

This has always been bothering me with the TP – there is only a “Take All” option. Sometimes I just want to take out one thing and leave another for later. I think it would be awesome if you could double-click or simply drag an item out of the Delivery Box rather than take everything out.

As for the coins, if there was a drop down menu that displays G/S/C and how much you want to withdraw, something similar to sending coins via mail (UI), that would make things so much cooler. I’m the kind of player who wants to accumulate gold in the TP to see how much I have made. Then I have a hiccup with the crafting and need to buy something, ruining my awesome gold streak as I have to “Take All”. This part is not as major. The item part is what most players may be more concerned about.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I’m sure there has been no changes to the Delivery Box at all. Is it a part of the game where A-Net doesn’t think it needed changing or that they simply cant?

What do you guys think? Do you like the Delivery Box as it is, or would you like it to change?

My guess is, it’s deliberate. If you could leave items in the delivery box as long as you want it and pick up only what you want it, it would act as free inventory slots for you. People could buy thousands of items as bulk purchases and leave them unpicked up without needed to relist the items, use the items or store them in their bank or personal guild.

Be careful what you ask for
ANet may give it to you.

Understandable. They could counter that by putting a cap on how many items can be placed in the Delivery Box.

My understanding is that it already acts as a free inventory. You can leave anything in there for as long as you want. You could even go the extra mile and list a stack of materials and unlist them to get them back to the Delivery Box for a cost (if you have the coin that is). If it’s in there, it’s useless. If someone buys something in bulk and leaves it there, it might as well be left on the trading post as you can’t use it. If they do withdraw it at a different time, they could have just purchased the item there and then. One thing that could be a problem is the price of sold items going up and down. I totally get your point though. Some people may abuse it. I’m just thinking of casual/new players.

Casual/new players won’t have a TP full of stuff to pick up.

I don’t leave too much to be picked up from the Trading Post, as should my account ever be compromised, or there be a problem with the game where a roll-back is necessary, or major TP problems, everything associated with the TP is lost.

If one could pick and choose to withdraw items, it would greatly enhance ‘free storage’, as one would not need the inventory space to pick up many items. I’m guessing bag space limits how much can be stored ‘free’ now. (Unless, the TP already lets one pick up only a partial amount of what’s available, depending on bag space. I don’t know, I’ve never had more than 1 or 2 items to pick up.)

If you don’t take your items within a reasonable timeframe, the BLTC will send it to their sorting office in Orr, and you’ll have to trudge over there to pick them up.
