ArenaNet, I’m making this post primarily to highlight the fact that you’re missing a nice, fat wad of cash. See, everybody who plays Guild Wars 2 is a stylin’ baller and just has to sport the latest fashions, be it wings, a hood that the intrepid Grenth once wore to Prom night, Balthazar’s Berserk cosplay set…

Basically, people really like the cosmetics available in your cash shop.

I suggest adding capes as back items. You’re probably wondering why.

See, every hero with something to hide(Oooohhhh~) and something to prove has probably donned that draping garb we call the cape. It’s adventurous, it’s mysterious, it has a hint of danger. Best of all, you’d be able to dye it, which would mean that everybody would want one, because who doesn’t want to staple a rug to the back of their shirt? Think of how fabulous you’ll look with a big strip of cloth on your back as you do battle across Tyria.

Seeing why you should add these to the Black Lion Trading Post? I hope so.

It’d make you money and make me look great. A win-win, if I do say so myself.

The devs addressed this a while back. Its not that they don’t want to add them, its due to a technical limitation of some sort if I recall.

They were expected since they were a prominent part of GW1 – they displayed your guild emblem. I think clipping was the original issue, and prob still is since it plagues so many things. That’s the given reason anyway…

the real reason is..

Wanze bought them all and has a monopoly on them. He occasionally can be seen parading a choice one whilst trotting around Tyria on his mount, challenging all to a duel
