Are black lion keys offered as rewards on other than the level 10 storyline?

Expect extremely low drop rates for keys. When Anet nerfed key farming they indicated that the key drop rate would go up. But if you double a drop rate of 0.00000001% don’t expect to notice it.

You also have a chance to get keys each time you complete a map (I think the starter zones and cities are excluded)

Yes, at L40 and L60 PS arcs, Living Story Season 2, and Heart of Thorns Personal Story; also via Map Completion, Black Lion Chests, Achievement Chests, some Reward Tracks, and rarely drops.

“0.00000001%” ? That’s far too generous. Go lower, much lower.

You get a key from finishing level 10 (and I think 20?) Personal Story, but only if you finished a level 10 story a week or more before.

For the personal story it’s level 10 (once a week per account), level 40 and level 60. The level 40 and level 60 are not gated by time per account.

Ive had maybe 25-30 since I started in October. Seems like I was lucky.

I’ve never had a key drop in pve OR pvp, I think the whole key drop thing is a myth.

I get key drops from time to time. You get a chance on some map completions.
