Black lion uncomon items.
I want to know if items droped from black lion chest like the wings and back feathers combo available now or the elemental sword and all items like that will be making a comeback? Are they a one time deal?
Until now i farmed and farmed and spent many keys to get all of them. Today i spent 25 keys to get the glider no succes but i am not mad cause i got some sweet loots.
But i am worried because i rly want the wings so now my question is should i force myself in farming and waste maybe 1000 more gold on keys to get the wing or maybe not even then cause of the rngisus? Or they will be back and if i do not get them now i could save keys for the next time?I looked everywhere on wiki but i could find nothing about this.
The items available in Black Lion Chests are changed regularly, usually with each Living Story episode, Festival, and Expansion among other reasons. I personally would not gamble to get any specific item using Black Lion Chests. I would save up my gems instead of exchanging for keys and purchase the item I want. Or if the item is a skin that can be sold, save your gold and purchase from the TP. But that’s just me – good luck.
I am refering to the glider from the black lion chest. It can not be traded and its not on trading post as a gem purchase. They call it uncomon items that are specific to the chest for the season. My question is if it will make a comeback in another season or if at the end of the season when the black lion chest will be restocked with other uncomon items it will be lost forever with no way to obtain it.
Uncommon my butt! Might as well call them rare drops with these Korean lottery boxes that give you crap 95% of the time.
I used 25 keys before I got the glider and the parrot and considered myself VERY lucky.
Last time when I wanted that Balthazar Hound Mail Carrier (also uncommon and only available in Black Lion Chests) it took me over 75 KEYS before I finally got it. And the first slot is always locked and already gives guaranteed junk as well.
In my opinion ANet needs to change this into something so that the first slot always gives you a guaranteed ‘Seasonal Ticket’ that works like a Black Lion Claim Ticket Scrap or Miniature Claim Ticket so that if you’re unlucky and don’t get the item you want from the chests themselves you can use the guaranteed tickets directly and buy the item from a vendor.
That way you’re at least guaranteed to get the item at some point instead of getting fed up or spending way too much money on these Korean lottery boxes.
Sorry for the rant but I just wanted to share my opinion on these current ‘Account Bound Black Lion Chest Only’ items.
But to answer your question, I don’t think they’ll be back. Unless it’s in another year or two.

So far, the items specific to the Black Lion Chests have not returned. Festival items may, or may not.
We would probably have to wait a year or two to determine if items are offered again.
If you truly want the item, you would probably be better served to try to get it while it is available.
Good luck.
Why can’t noone from Anet swing by and say yes they will be comming back or no its a one time thing? If you write to support to ask they will just send you a reply to write on forum. You come here and can not know the answer cause aparently the players do not know it either and Anet won’t say a thing. Like its not enough of a ripoff…

Unfortunately, they are unlikely to reveal their plans for the future. “Limited Time Only” sales work on the customer’s anxiety that they will never see the item again. Therefore it would defeat the purpose if they officially stated that the item would be offered again.

Honestly? They probably don’t say anything because they haven’t made a decision on this yet.
It’s like this, these items may come back and they may not. ArenaNet don’t want to say these will come back because the question then becomes “you promised they would come back and it’s been X months/years, when will they come back?” and if they say they won’t come back and decide in the future to bring them back they open themselves up for attack on the grounds that they “lied” to us.
That’s why they’re so reluctant to share this kind of information; saying nothing cuts down on the general anger.

They may not know for sure.
I’m pretty sure when the Fused Weapons were first released Anet didn’t know they would later on end up implementing the Black Lion Claim ticket system, and then a bit later on making older weapon sets available through that system. (Otherwise I’d pretty sure they would have gone with Black Lion Tickets originally instead of the complicated things they had before then.)
Likewise when they made the Wintersday Mystery Box in 2012 I doubt they knew they’d end up abandoning released-themed RNG boxes and 3-5 years later they’d put the exclusive mini pets into the normal gifts and make them tradable.
So what do they do? Say “we currently have no plans to repeat these/make them available another way”, and then deal with the fall out when 6 months, a year, 3 years on they are available again and a bunch of people are angry? Say they will be available again but they don’t know when or how that will be and leave everyone guessing whether it’ll be better to wait an unknown amount of time or try to get them now?
Does either of those really help?
The other alternative of course is to say they will never be available ever again in any form and then stick to that. Then players know if we want them we have to try for them now. But in the long run I think that’s a worse decision for everyone.
