This server is being full every freaking minute this week.

I am watching all my friends that I finally convince to buy the game scattering trough other servers.

Has anyone ever noticed this server as “Very High” a single moment this week?

Will end up having to transfer again. sigh

Have they tried waiting until the off-hours? I often see no servers full at that time.

blackgate goes Very High pop often early morning PST like 3-4am. It’s a very popular server for WvW.

If you end up giving up on Blackgate, Crystal Desert is an amazing server!

Seriously though have him/her try during non-peak hours. Should do the trick.

It was also very popular for PvE back before the mega servers for the Living Story. Many people transferred there because of how successful the server was at completing events such as Teq, Marionette, LA, etc. With mega servers these players no longer have an incentive to transfer off as they may or may not play WvW.

You guys need to do some research on what FULL actually means in terms of server populations……

Until someone LEAVES BG or Anet opens up the caps, it will REMAIN FULL.

That seems to be false, I always see Blackgate not full in off hours.

You have to move servers to be with your friends, anet won’t raise the cap until the next free trial weekend. Also, megaservers……………………………………………….

Nope, just wait until off hours, I always see blackgate free open spaces at that time. The current theory isn’t entirely truthful. For example, when a server has a blackout time so people can transfer in, the server goes below full. So, the full status is indeed tied to how many people are online in the server. So, lets put the false theory to rest, yes?
