what..? bleed cap isn’t broken it’s working fine.
Bleed is totally broken … 25 Stacks are way too low for that bleed isn’t even dealing more damage than a direct hit. Bleed is actually a direct hit over time that gets destroyed by your allies and this is just wrong.
I hear many ppl shout “but you deal damage without even attacking” or “image 100 stacks bleeding on a boss / player, that’d be op!”… No you won’t deal damage if you won’t reapply new bleeding and 100 stacks bleeding is as deadly as 4 warriors casting 100b on you.
The bleeding cap makes no sense at all, all other conditions do but bleeding? no… It’s such a failure of ANet that makes con. damage unaviable in PvE and WvW Zerg. Even Necros are just worse with con. damage than with power. It’s sad but true, bleeding requires a fix.

There is no reason to start with an insult if somone has a different opinion than you. Show some respect!
You can AoE stack 20 bleeds? In fotm for example? What then? The rest of the party uses their normal attacks and stacking together 20 stacks of bleed too, what happens? I guess you know what I mean…

Huggles, dont be rude. Anet knows it’s bad because theyve said in the past theyre looking into a fix. Im just wondering the latest on that.
Because bleed duration and damage numbers are updated every second, it costs a lot of computer resources (data retrieval and transfer) to handle bleed stacks. Thus the cap.
The solution of fire-and-forget bleeds (duration and damage per tick determined at the instant the bleed is applied) would, IMO, go a very long way in fixing the cap problem because the amount of resources necessary would be vastly reduced.

I tought the bleeding tics scale with the con damage you applied them with and not what you currently got o.o?

I personally hope they will increase the cup like this:
Elites 30 stacks
Champions 40 stacks
Legends 50 stacks.
That is my wishful thinking, but maybe someday.

You can apply burning underwater. Logic doesn’t apply here.

If you play a condition build and want to destroy strucutures – well, bad luck. You went for it. Everything has pros and cons.
Bleeding earth elementals but not flamable wooden gates – that’s the logic.

While I largely agree I have no doubt anet would do something stupid and make vuln stack like this to.
Not to be able to destroy structures as a conditiondealer is acceptable, however it could be fixed as I said before.
I guess making bleeding work on constructs makes no sense aslong as they aren’t alive like tequatl or such bosses. Maybe condition damage should act like 50% power while attacking a construct. So if one has 2500 power and 0 con damage he deals with his 2500 power. If a condition player has 1500 power and 2000 con damage he “gains” +1000 power while attacking a structure.
But the stack-overwriting is the main reason why bleeding is kaputt. Conditiondealers suffer at bleeding and / or confusion damage in PvE and it’s hard to fix that it seems. :/ I really hate it for example to have a condition necro in my party, however I’m not angry, I feel sad for him o.O

Condition caps seriously cripple condition based classes on bosses with large number of players. This has been a problems in past MMO’s too but i have never seen such a small cap as in GW2. I hope they raise certain caps on champs and legendary foes at least.
As I say – there is no need for a bleeding cap, since it’s just damage.

DOTs should be capped per player, not per mob. If I could stack 25 stacks of bleed on a target by myself, I should be able to independently of all other players’ bleeds.
I don’t think it’s an issue in PvP/WvW either. I generally never get above 5 stacks of bleeds in either case. Anyone who gets 25 stacks in PvP/WvW melts so fast it wouldn’t matter if they had 25 of 500. It’s a death sentence either way.
Also it’s just fairness. If you got 2 different char types, “A” deals 5k with a direct hit, and “B” does 5k bleed with 5 stacks over 7 sec (~2100 con damage). Now if there is a necro with 30k HP, he gets hit once from 6 A-type-players → he’s dead now. If he get’kitten by 6 B-type-players → he will survive with 5k HP after those 7 sec cuz of 25 max stacks at the same time. And that’s broken, he should be dead aswell.
