So, I havnt played GW2 in over a year. I just made another char yesterday, I cant send mail to him. Is there a blocking of player mail sent to new chars?

You do not send mail to your own characters. They share a mailbox. Your bank is shared among all characters. Just transfer stuff through your bank.

Emailing to yourself would be nice but people would use it as a way to have extra inventory by sending items to themselves then not picking them up. So it’s not possible. You’ll have to switch items between chars at your bank.

You can still ask a friend/guildie to return a mail so it will be in your own mailbox.

Thanks for the info. I especially loved the phrase “you do not” as opposed to you cannot. Saying you do not makes it sound taboo or makes me feel dirty for thinking of it. It would have been even better to say “One does not simply mail themselves.”

But then I would have to be all geek savvy, and it is waaaay too early in the morning for that.

I find it easier to just make people feel dirty. I could throw in a sexual innuendo here and there, if you like.

‘One does not simply mail themselves’ sounds too much like a lame Lord of the Rings reference. Stick with, ‘you can’t’

You also have a limited amount of player-to-player mail you can hold.
