Alright so I’m sure everyone who plays this game will have at least blocked one person for something. Be it spamming or something offensive or whatever reason they want to block them for.

I just blocked someone a few minutes ago and found that their emote spamming was still visible to me despite being blocked.
I take it that no one realizes that that completely defeats the purpose of a block considering that, if they ARE blocked, they can just continue to do whatever you blocked them for via /me in the text bar.

So I’d just like to say that that’s why I’d prefer if blocking someone actually BLOCKED them, not just made it harder for them to be obnoxious or harass another individual.

It’s like the old LFG tool. No one used it because it never worked. So why use the block tool when it doesn’t do what’s fully intended?

Because we can’t be angry about both?

No idea where you got this idea, but I’m sure it’s not the case. Blocking exists for many reasons. Gold selling bots is just one of them.

OP, I’d just turn off emotes altogether after I blocked someone. Then you won’t see their emotes.

I realize that that’s an easy fix to it but of course there’s also a large amount of people who participate in roleplay on this game as an activity. But it would be nice if everything was just blocked.

I’m not saying I’m disagreeing with you and you don’t even have to leave it off. If someone is bothering me, right in front of me and I block them, and they’re emoting I either WP (he can’t follow me) or I turn off emotes. He’ll get tired sooner or later and I’ll turn them back on.

The game is more than a year old and I can still see players that I’ve blocked when they’re online, where they are located, and how many achievement points they’ve earned. I suppose it can work the other way around too. I may have blocked them but I’m probably on their list being tracked.

I agree with the OP, blocking someone should stop all communication with them. By that simply emotes, /invites to dungeon parties or /joining your dungeon party, and being able to see when you’re online, where you’re currently located, etc.

It’s only aiding stalkers and troublemakers.

I agree with this. It’s almost like what happens after you block someone is almost worst than as if you didn’t block them.

Many are in agreement with you. In fact there is a thread for it under suggestions. I recommend going and adding your voice to that as well.

Don’t look at me like that. Whatever you’ve heard, it’s probably not true.
