I would like to say that I’m glad we don’t have a blogpost. Please don’t make anymore blogpost. They just eat up the developers time. They also put a lot of pressure on the developers to write it could blogpost not only in the view of their customers but also in the view of the company. After reading that a blogpost needs to be reviewed by all departments of your company, it seems ridiculous to put all that energy into writing several blogpost every month.

So yeah no more blogpost please, we would rather have you working on the game anyway.

What did I just read?

Blog posts, taking developers’ time? haha. The only way I could see this right would be because ANet makes promises in blog posts that they’re not able to fulfill.

Blog posts are made to interact with the player base, thus preventing players from opening thread such as “this game is dying”, etc. It’s a community statement that demonstrates that ANet are actually working on something.

I believe blog posts are a fine way of telling your players what you’re up to.

Yeah, because Arena Net only has one developer, who works day and night right until the last second before the patch goes live.

Blogposts should not take much time if the Dev writing it knows clearly in his mind what is going on. Which you would hope he would, since ya know – he’s developing the game.

Dev writes down what he is doing, PR guy proof reads it/tidies it up, community knows what is going on.

Sounds good to me.

But Arenanet have already said they are apprehensive about making statements as they may be quoted on them when they don’t deliver LMAO. That was specifically on forum posts, maybe it also extends to blogs.
