We can understand that Elder dragons so far have been far weaker than what we have anticipated/read. Well this is most likely due to bloodstones and the pre-awakening of other dragons.

Zhai was very very weak, but he came to be after Jormag and Primo (and possibly bubbles) were re-awakened. Meaning that Zhai got the scraps of what primo and jormag didnt intake.

Mordy was a bit stronger than Zhai. but that was after Zhai died, plus the energy Mordy took in from leylines. Additionally we need to consider bloodstones. Bloodstones are basically very powerful giant stones made up of powerful magic. This magic was essentially part of the natural environment, but was sealed away from the world and elder dragons.

We technically stand a much much much better chance against elder dragons than any other time in our history. Against primo, Kralk, and Jormag…..We are still not ready cuz they mega powerful, but still theoretically much weaker than before.

Additionally consider how the elderdragons take in energy, or what elements are correlated with them. Take primo, fire and rock. Science states that a planet’s environment was primarily fire and rock in its baby stage, then came water, and ice…..then came plants and oxygen, and then came come complex orgasms, until humans came along….then war, corruption and death.

If you read up on the dragons….their awakenings follow a similar pattern to what i stated….which would explain why primo was first, (maybe bubbles in between) then jormag, and then the others.

Magic was always part of our realm, and technically dragons were its FIRST babies. Where did the magic come from? The mists?? There is still an entire world within the mists that we dont know a single thing about. Did the gods come here escaping something, long long ago when they first came? were the gods responsible for the dragons we are dealing with now? Were the bloodstones created to trap an uncontrollable threat? Is there some omni-being in the mists that is giving off this magic, which made its way to our realm??? Technically this magic could be responsible for ALL life as we know it.

The best mechanism we have to discovering so many of these secrets is THROUGH FRACTALS! Fractals as you know allow us to go back in time.

This game has an incredibly attractive lore, I truly hope Arenanet does everything possible to enrich and make use of it.
