Don’t fall for anets bloodstone dust gold sink gimmick. The reason I believe they are sooooooo abundant is that players will get angry at the space they take up and start to convert it to bricks ( players tend to not want to just delete stuff). Of course this requires buying thermolytic reagents. Just delete the dust you wont need in the near future and call it a day.

Ascended armor will be introduced soon. Perhaps creating that will demand alot of Bloodstone Dust?

It’s only worth deleting if you’re the kind of person who runs around in a Champ circuit all day long still…. Not all of us find that entertaining, or even that rewarding anymore. For everyone else, converting is probably a good idea b/c it still counts as 450+ crafting XP (even if it’s a very very small amount that doesn’t adhere to their “flat leveling curve” promise).

If you don’t craft, yeah it’s better to delete it.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the dust got adjusted in the champ boxes.

agreed with above post. if you don’t craft, just chuck every ascended material you find. not much use to you then.

I’d rather hope for both other component drop rates to be adjusted up to bloodstone’s level.

They should let you refine them into luck or something.

That isn’t something gaming companies don’t do though. They tend to reduce stuff instead.

It took me about a day of non-hardcore playing to get 250 of them at least.

I’ll just delete them if they’re taking too much space. I’m not going to craft 250 bricks just because I can.

Still, yes. They are abundant. I’d rather they reduce the amount you need to make a brick and reduce the amount you get from champions.

Cant wait until you need 10 bricks per piece of ascended armor! Have fun farming that over again

Let’s see, mining one (!) ori node a day – 3 ore, sell at TP for ~21 silver, ~18s after tax minus 15s for thermocatas – 3s left over plus a potential useful crafting ingredient in the future…

Or delete it. I guess if I really need those 5 bank slots I might consider it again.

“Whose Kitten is this?” – “It’s a Charr baby.”
“Whose Charr is this?”- “Ted’s.”
“Who’s Ted?”- “Ted’s dead, baby. Ted’s dead.”

I have 5+ stacks of bloodstone dust taking up bank space. Eventually I’ll be able to refine it and then I’ll be happier but I’m def not trashing it. I’ll just store it on an alt until my artificer gets 408 → 450. No great rush.

Yea, as in the 14 silver that you spend to buy thermolytic materials FROM THE VENDOR.

+1 best suggestion.

I’ve got 18 stacks of dust and I don’t even farm champions. Give the dust a purpose or nerf the drop rate.

IT’S A SWORD. THEY’RE NOT MEANT TO BE SAFE.
