Booting players due to excessive inactivity
Context, please.
Just move an inch every 10min if it really bothers you being afk in WvW taking up a slot doing nothing.
Madness Rises [Rise] – Banners Hold.
Don’t argue with idiots, they pull you down their level and own you with experience.
Let me see if I understand the OP’s post. He feels players should have the right to tie up a map slot in PvE or WvW doing nothing for as long as that person wants and use the game’s resources to keep the player there. In addition he feels that when the game does finally kick it’s an imposition to have to hit the log on button after having been away for hours.
Hmmmm. Something something first world issues something something.
ANet may give it to you.

Not only that, but judging by his choice of words, he feels as if he’s been personally attacked.

I wish I had the sort of life where the most aggravating thing to happen to me was the game logging me out after hours of not playing.

Inactivity boots are a pretty common thing in online games of all types, and they help prevent the main city hubs from being clogged up with hundreds of people standing on the bank and TP NPCs. This isn’t BDO, where you are expected and encouraged to stay logged in 24/7
Activities? Some of them force you to wait far longer than the inactivity timer.

Huh? I have never had to wait longer than a typical zone crossing to enter an activity.

Normally, I’d say it’s not such a big issue, but… and here’s the anecdote:
I found two players /dance spamming and otherwise not helping with the Mordremoth fight. Like, standing still and doing nothing. There’s no report option for that. Spamming isn’t even a clear-cut thing, so I doubt it’d see any action, and it’s not exactly LFG abuse, even though they had to squad in at some point. Either way, it’s not right for everyone else to bust their chops while others actively do nothing.
It’s such a corner case as to be shrug-worthy, but it’s still really irritating.
