With Daylight Saving Time ending in the US and most of Canada on November 2 (fall back), and ending for much of Europe on October 25, can we expect the timing of boss events and reset to shift?
For example, on NA servers, Daily Reset and Tequatl currently occur at 8pm EDT/7pm CDT/6pm MDT/5pm PDT. Tequatl then occurs again 11pm/EDT 10pm CDT/ 9pm MDT/8PM PDT.
This allows a great number of players to attend/organize for Tequatl when they get home from work.
However, with the time change in North America, assuming things are not shifted, Daily Reset and Early Tequatl moves to 7pm EDT/6pm CDT/5pm MDT/4pm PDT – effectively removing 2 time zones worth of players from the event (on the theory that most people on PDT don’t consistently get to Tequatl at reset already). The later Tequatl spawn would then shift to 10pm EDT/9pm CDT/8pm MDT/7pm PDT. This is a bit late for players in EDT who have to get up early, but is great for CDT and MDT players. I suspect the impact on PDT players would be minimal.
The reason I ask is that I’m part of the Jade Quarry group that organizes a daily kill and we need to determine which timeframe we’re going to aim for as a group.
(For those concerned about Karka Queen, it’s an hour before Tequatl. For those concerned about Evolved Jungle Wurm, it’s an hour after. Wurm involves even more organization than Tequatl, so I imagine guilds that organize Wurm kills would like to know this too.)
