Bosses – Updated!
The World bosses have been an issue since the January patch turned them into big loot pinatas.
This is a very welcome thing for many people because killing a World Boss should not take less time than it takes to waypoint there.
I can’t comment on your 10 fps problem because I have never experienced it and I run a very mid range pc.
Big event are sometimes a lot of fun- the problem was that they don’t feel epic because the bosses die too fast- from what I understand the aim of this patch is to fix that.
Expanding on existing content and making it better is a very good move imo- I wish they will focus a lot more on this

I agree with you there. 10fps is a problem for some of us who don’t have crap computers also in this title and ONLY in this title. I play all other games none of which ever had culling and all of which are on very high or ultra all the time.
The loot problem has been there since November of last year, somehow someone made an adjustment to the number of unidentified dyes and it completely barfed the whole system up.
As far as rewards yeah they definitely need to step up the rewards we get in the open world because it’s insulting at the very least that the open world events once again get the short end of the stick for necessary improvement farming while doing things that people didn’t originally buy this game to do (fractals/dungeon farming) get more (and WvW) it should be equal across the board or nothing at all!

You mean the rewards for doing regular open world content, like solo events and such because the open world in general (bosses – champions) is by FAR (so far that is not even funny) more profitable in any way than any dungeon. Fractals has been a joke reward-wise since release, the only reason to run fractals is to get the Rings (now you can get them with laurels too) and the fractal skins. Fractals was NEVER worth the time and effort compared to open world PVE for gold or any other reward. After the Champion loot update it became far worse, dungeons and fractals are nearly pointless now, just zerging around farming champions or killing some world jokes will get you far more profit than running any dungeon (same time frame).
WvW is still a joke reward-wise… seriously, even running random PVE events is more profitable.
Same here. Cannot even play World Bosses in normal way, in fact dragonite ores takes me a lot to gain ._.
I’m happy about Bosses that will be more challengin but meh.. wish also server are more stable
I loathe all world bosses and temples because they basically boil down to stand in a spot, put autoattack in loop, go afk, collect loot. Zero mechanics, zero challenge. To this adds bad performance and effect spam.
So I am happy that they are hopefully fixing the first part, while the performance is being worked on (as of Colin’s latest post).
As for new content vs old content, I think that fixing what we have right now should be a priority. Contrary to popular belief, this game has loads of content: it’s just that it lacks quality.

the 25 dungeon runs vs 75 open world bosses would like to have a word with you. WvW is just as bad as those figures.

the combination between challenging and unplayable due to bad performance is a no go for me.
im avoiding these events since day one because its a effect mess and nothing else. challenging content is fine. but not in a scale that wont work out.
they just need to change the scale on these events. find a better solution.

Just limit those shown characters and lower their texture quality. Problem solved. I play on 3-4 years old hardware and have 30+ FPS with this settings.

i dont want to play a game that looks like a game from 1990. it looks soooo bad and u always need to change graphic back and forth. as long as there is no graphic presets its not really an option. they cant be serious on this. im playing a game where i need to change graphic settings in the options every 15 minutes. come on…..
with character details on low the game is not worth playing. it looks awfull. animations is nothing else than gathering… this is so….
and shown characters also means enemies…. so if u disable them u dont even see the enemies…. this hole situation is just a horrible way to handle it

When did I even talk about people being blind? I said people should give their content updates a chance.
Also, if you don’t like their content updates, what would you prefer to see? Or would you rather them just not update their game at all?
