Bosses/monsters 'big attacks'
It would be very repetitive, not to mention immersion-breaking, if ALL enemies had the same tell before a big attack. It’s bad enough that many share that “building up” animation.

I get this a lot when I do AC as an ele/necro. All I can say is good luck seeing kholer’s attack when 2 charr/norn warriors are attacking it in melee…thank god for good ol’ mist form aye?

I think a cast bar would be useful for this kind of thing, but that does amount to “the same tell for everything.”
I like it the way it is personally. The only times it’s been a problem have been in huge zerg events when they enemy is so covered in fire/lightning/mesmer effect that you can’t see anything but a blob of bright light.
Maybe not the same effect, but something more, there are some bosses that are impossible to see if they are about to destroy you just because someone is in melee range.
