I would like it if people could help out by posting where to find bots on various servers.

one spot every server I have played on has had bots is the waypoint by the centaur bridge just north west of that is where i ALWAYS see bots, doing a small circuit killing stuff as it spawns……

also in blood coast or whatever the maps called directly below lions arch in the south western cave/mountain system where all the risen are there tends to be at least 1 group of bots killing risen for hours on end doing the same small circuit down each of the 3 trails part way then back to middle.

seems they are always rangers(probably because ranger has the best balance of dps to toughness)

please list the area’s you see bots and if possible a screenshot of the map with a waypoint on the general area.

I have seen many people claim they play alot and have never seen a bot, so their must not be any……shocking really…. since i have seen so many.

please understand, Im not attacking anet like others, I have been on their side of this, and dealing with botting isnt as easy as it may seem….any automated system they come up with will invariably endup catching some legit players, even manual bans can do that…..the bad thing is, as they try and make botting less lucritive they have ended up boning the rest of us or they endup with the bots harming the economy…

honestly tho, i feel anet themselves roostered up the economy with the copper and silvering(nickle and dime) for everything and the insane prices for stuff like cultural armor, they are encouraging people to buy gold and thus encouraging people to bot to sell gold…..

it sucks, but it is what it is…..so please post your “favorite” bot locations so people can know where to look on what servers(this could also get a gm’s/staff attention and give them some incentive to look themselves)

I think it may be against the rules though, if you post a
direct picture of someone botting. Just saying

normal hangout places on whiteside ridge for bots... hmmm Frostgorge sound, jus south of yaks bend hitting on the veteran polar bear thingy. most probably farming blood..

Also frostgorge sound.. But this time way way over to the west is another usual haunt.. They think they r not noticed there as most r undwerwat6er on the west side but i saw you i saw youuuu.....

Then also on borderlands under the lake, another usual haunt on our server..

IBL… the best way to deal with bots is report them with the ingame reporting tool.

I read this message 14 times a day in the dev tracker.

Maybe we should just claim that they’re having a `conga line` instead of botting…. It’d be fine to share screenshots of `that` right?

thats why i said a screenshot of where they are on the map not of them botting, anet has some silly rules involving showing other players avatars/toons/names on the forums…..hence i didnt ask for images of bots.

this isnt just about letting people who dont believe there are alot of bots know where to look but it is also about allowing others who want to take the time to go check the areas and report them.

thanks to my /m chatter many times I have gotten a dozen or so people to run over and report blatant bots, this is a way for the players to contribute to letting anet know where the major problem area’s are….

oh as to farming underwater…….good place for them, as long as they arent in my way :P

I think the issue is, somebody on/from anet decided that toon names and images are private somehow…..so they dont allow people to post them…..its crazy but, it is what it is…..
