I do not know how many times I reprted this guy whose char name I am not allowed to write here becasue ANET does not permit this.

There is a population of Vulture Raptors inhibiting the area south of “Town of Cowlfang’s Star Waypoint”. This guy is running his bot on a Thief with “golden” achievement (imagine how he achieved that) 24/7 without stopping. I encountered him for the 3rd Day consequently. He is running the same pattern, the same skills and wont react to whispers.

I cannot imagine how much Slabs of Poulty Meat he flooded into the TP already.

I call all the honest players of Piken Square who want to make the GW2 a beter place to Report this player when they are in the vicinity.

You know mega servers are a thing right? And they guy might not be from PS. Also he like me might just be ignoring you. I was farming blood a while back, I was running the same path over and over. Some guy was whispering me asking if I was a bot, I didn’t reply. About half an hour later I get another whisper some someone else asking the same thing and I didn’t reply. The next whisper I got was from a GM asking what I was doing, so I replied. Just because you do not get an answer, is by no means proof that this player is a bot. They might not want to talk to you, or maybe they speak another language. Not everyone in the world speaks English.

Nobody cares, idk why people need to get so defensive about this stuff. Does this guy having a few extra gold really bother you that much?

I am not stupid. This guy is farming exact same location on the exact same path with exact same skill usage. Nobody does that. I farmed same things too why do you think I return to that place everytime? He is clearly botting.
And I dont care how much money he is making, he is cheating and should be banned. Probably he is selling his gold somewhere. Even worse.

Ok, sure, if you say so.

I’ll just point you that you clearly didn’t know about Mega servers, and I thought everyone knew that by now. Especially with guild recruiting saying what server is there home server.

Also there is a report function in game. Do that, support will look in to it. He’s not harming you, might not be helping the game economy, but that’s why there’s a report function in the game, and ANet have support staff to look in to these things.

If you think someone is a bot you can whisper them as a first check and then report them by friending then using the options from there. However most bots nowadays aren’t running around in the open. That’s too easy for them to be seen and reported. The ones I’ve seen are underground now and only come near the surface to harvest.

I did have one guy ask me if I was a bot when I came over and started farming the same mobs he was farming. I told him I didn’t know but I would ask my master and find out. (That shut him up. Lol).

Be careful what you ask for
ANet may give it to you.

Honestly, running the same path and using the same skills aren’t a definite sign of a bot; it could just be what is most efficient for that player on that character. While I personally couldn’t sit there for hours and run the same path/same skills to farm, there are plenty of players who can and do just that (in many games). So, unless they’re under the terrain or teleporting, it can be pretty hard to say if they’re botting or not. If you suspect he is botting, then report it. It will get looked at, and if he’s botting, it’ll be handled.

That’s really lame. People shouldn’t be harassed for farming.

Well, I looked into it, being on piken myself and sure enough, when I got there, I saw a human thief running around, farming raptors.

Its an impressive farming spot. I tried to kill as many raptors as I could and even with both of us going at it, there was no down time. On top of this, the raptors spawn a young version in linked squads of 5 that roam about and they all have a chance of dropping the very valuable poultry meat (ten silver each no less). Other items that dropped from them were also quite valuable.

So, after an hour or so of this, I`d made several gold, which was impressive enough. As to the potential bot, it was quite interesting to watch. Reactions far quicker than human as, on occasion, I tagged raptor and knocked it back, only to see the other avatar adjust to its new position instantly. If it is a bot, which is almost certainly is, its using some sort of radar, because it wouldn’t go to areas that I had cleared of raptors and knew the moment one had appeared.

I reported it once I had grown bored or raptor blasting. I wonder if the “diminishing returns” would affect such a farm.
