Just ran accross 5 Yaks Bend ranger bots inside the lake on the Yaks Bend Battleground.

First time since the mass banning, but not good.

Invite 5 of your friends bots to play GW2.

Keep in mind it’s impossible to stop bots completely, the best any company can do is ban them sadly.

It is among many things that has plagued MMOs for years and shall continue to till the genre itself dies.

If it’s created by a human it can be hacked by a human. You realize bots will NEVER go away right? This is an MMO and the very fact that humans are stupid makes them a viable income resource. They provide a resource that stupid people think they need tons of (gold), and after your purchase they have enough of your info to steal your account thus renewing their botnet and making money at the same time.

The very best that can be done is implementing a reporting infrastructure and automated tagging system – both of which are implemented nicely.

Just because you see 5 bots running around in an area doesn’t mean there are 5 million more in the game. It means there are 5 bots running around in that area that haven’t been banned yet.

All online multiplayer games that have rewards will be botted because someone is dumb enough to purchase those rewards for real money perpetuating the cycle of bot renewal. Accept it, understand it, don’t do it.

Um. Considering the direction this patch is heading. I’d say the only accounts that will not lose their sanity playing this game’s non-sPvP content will be bots.

I wouldn’t be surprised, if you look at the amount of sites that say they were giving away 1,000s of keys for this event. It doesn’t matter how many went out by players, every mmo site out there was giving them away too.

Yeah, it’s because these keys are now kinda worthless. Just like anet’s lie and broken promise about ‘no vertical progression, ever, your tediously-earned max stat gear is forever max! you’re safe!’

We killed the bots when I posted this thread 36 minutes ago.

I come back now to check, and they’ve all returned.

What a joke.
