Guild Wars 2

I know Arenanet is working on the botting problem but I really haven’t seen any difference. I play on the Yak’s Bend server and I see bots EVERYWHERE. From level 40 to 50 areas, to level 80 areas. Mostly these bots are either human rangers or char rangers. Today I saw a group of 15 to 20 bots. Earlier today I saw a group of 10.

I am sick and tired of having to spend 10 to 20 minutes of my game time reporting bots.

No point on making a thread, they have been deleting all the bot complaints. =/

Two of the bots I reported are gone… the others I reported are in zones I don’t typically frequent.

I’m getting pretty sick of the bots to.

Bots/scammers/gold sellers are like the hydra – cut off one head and one or two more grow in it’s place. This doesn’t mean we just let the hydra free, you keep chopping it’s heads off and hope that one day it will give up and go away.

You may never notice a decline in bots, and there are a lot out there to keep ArenaNet busy. So it may take them a while to verify the botters in your area and then ban them. And even then you may get some new ones to replace them.

If you are able to you should just report them then move along. If they really bother you then you should consider server jumping till you find a world with less or no bots in your preferred area. If that doesn’t help and the bots are destroying your game then you may have to consider leaving the game, though none of us want that since GW2 popularity = GW2 long term success. (and personally I want this to flourish for decades!)

I report every single one I see, as does everyone in my clan. Keep up the good work, I am sure Anet will find easier quicker method.

Just do not forget to overlook checking their IP :P

The best thing players can do is continue to report every incident of suspected botting behavior they witness using the in-game ticketing system. Thanks for the continued reports and everyone’s patience. It’s greatly appreciated!
