Honestly guys, is it me or do Brain Dead Builds seem to be the strongest in every class?
IMO dominating builds for every class are the easiest to play, like cookie cutter builds.
Was GW1 like this? or they walked away from complex coordinated pvp and moved into a Vanilla WoW?

In non-tournament modes, yeah, it’s pretty much it, although it always depends on your skill. In organized teams, different builds have a lot to offer, and in fact hurr durr builds suck tons.

In gw1 creativity was well prized in pretty much all modes

Wrong direction of causality.

Braindead players can achieve acceptable results with strong builds because the builds are strong, not because the players are braindead.
