Branching Relationships in GW2?

So I’ve been wondering, if the new expansion/LS/Personal Story/Campaign will ever have a branching storyline with a variety of relationships with people?

Something like the Telltale games or dating sims, where your choices doesn’t just affect your path but also how people treat you. I haven’t been seeing any grand changes on how NPC’s treat me in the Personal Story since people always die whenever they’re around me in the Personal Story as if I’m the devil. But what I think is that the personality system will be perfect for this kind of thing.

For me it’s always been a really special thing to have how people treat you depending on your choices. I know this has been done before in GW2, such as the female human captain giving a reaction to you depending on your poor/commonfolk/nobel status quo early in the human PS, even though I never heard of this person or even met beforehand for me to take note that she’s an important character.

But seeing this more often and in a greater difference of choices you make will benefit it all. Maybe in the next PS if I chose not to warn the people of the destruction of Fort Trinity I can be like a lone wolf selecting a handful of people on my side (and maybe they can die depending on what you do and how you treat them) and fight the next elder dragon and unlock a title called “Lone Kittenbag” once I complete the PS.

While the main storyline has branching paths they are all pretty much tied together and don’t really affect anything in the end game. Its basically just to direct leveling, unlock new zones, and better understand the lore. While I think it would be fun being able to maintain dynamic relationships with NPCs it would just be too much work to implement and has so far been unseen in any mmorpg. I think alot of people hoped that Elder Scrolls Online would be something like this (closer to Skyrim), but unfortunately it just turned into another generic mmo.
