Hello. I read so much and seen great gameplay so I decided to pay for the game. There is one problem. I wanted to join my friends server Sea of Sorrows, however When I chose America is said very full and I made it my home world. The game reset itself (shut down) and I started it back up and now it say that server is full and I still don’t have a home world. It says to choose one. The problem is now it say Sea of Sorrows server is full. I believe that I should be allowed to make a homeworld of anyserver. Am I supposed to believe that there is no account maintenance where the amount of accounts per server are limited? New accounts should be allowed to choose any server since there is no TOS saying choose a server from lack of options. I would like a courtesy and for your company to make my homeworld Sea of Sorrows and if possible clean up your servers for room for New accounts to not be limited without Notice

Unless you are specifically wanting to do WvW on a particular server you can chose any server in a server group and play with anyone in it as this game has Megaservers.

What this means is, everyone in the EU or NA data server groups is pooled together and plays on the same map, except for WvW. The game makes and collapses copies of maps (shards) as needed as people move in and out of an area. It will try to keep people who are partied up, friends, guildies and from the same server on the same shards but everyone in PvE is in one giant pool of people that play together.

If you choose another server in the NA data group, the only thing you will not be able to do with them is WvW. For that you need to be on the same server.

I need a HOME WORLD….do you read @ Just a Flesh wound….I have friends on Sea of sorrows and want to play all aspects of the game with them. I should NOT be Limited as I am a new account holder. It doesn’t say when I buy the game that I will be limited to certain home worlds

Servers have limits because…. bad things happen when you go over the limits. It’s like you trying to store something on your full Hard drive. When it’s full, there isn’t any room. They also won’t answer your petition over the forums. You can make a suggestion, but this is how the game has been since the beginning. It’s always been “first come, first serve”.

Try to do it when server have lighter load, for example early morning hours.

The liklyness you’ll get on SoS is pretty low. It will stay full until someone transfers of it or Anet raises the cap. Really your best bet would be to pick a server that’s not full. You’ll be able to do all parts of the game except WvW. During the next turniment they may do free transfers to low and you and your friend can all transfer there.

Who should say something? If you are expecting a Dev to post in your thread, you may be waiting quite some time.

You can only select a Server as your Home World from those that are not designated as ‘Full’. Same as everyone else, no matter when they joined the game, nor when they might want to change/transfer Servers.

Sea of Sorrows usually goes Very High around early NA Prime.

Go to www.sosgw2.com to meet the community and they can help you with it. They usually post in their shoutbox when the server opens up.
