So today I was trying to kill the xemaster boss in Verdant Brink. I didn’t know that I actually needed to bring tons of CC to that fight (I was able to see him for the first time during his special move thanks to my new mastery). So as soon as I died (5 seconds in) I tried to change my skills and weapons to better deal with that situation. However I actually had no idea which skills were the best to take for such situation, the situation where you just really need to get through those breakbars and you don’ care that much about your damage. I knew the new dragonhunter elite did a lot, and that I should probably also get a hammer to use banish. But apart from that I wasn’t really sure. Later I found that my F1 skill is not that great CC, nor are binding blades.
I remember somebody was asking for a training dummy to test for how much each skill damages breakbars, and that would be great. But I think that there is a better solution to make selecting skills more user friendly. Just add a description to each skill of how much it does damage to breakbars. If there is a condition (blind, chill) just tell us how much dmg will that do every second.
Who knows…maybe someone is already working on this. I believe this would be pretty cool quality of life improvement for GW2.
