Breaking the 4th wall
I really hope they won’t do anything like that.
Please no

And now I am picturing Mordremoth holding a sign reading “The Eternal Alchemy said if I get one million likes I will attack Divinity’s Reach!!!!!!!!!!”
Perhaps if we get another go in the Omadd’s machine, then maybe a small gag breaking the fourth wall…
I rarely do PvP or Hard PvE, unless it’s organized.
Eeehhhh, there might be a way to do something cool like that in theory, but that mention of Facebook sounds pretty sketchy, maybe even prone to harassment if players can connect in-game or forum posts to real life identities.
I would like to see some way to use a pic of our in-game characters as a forum avatar, though. Maybe ANet could even choose a “Forum Post of the Week/Month” and award a few gems? Not that the forums are hurting for activity, though…
During the story no, please no.
Some pop-culture references spread in the world, I’m totally fine with that.
(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
I’d rather have a way to look at my characters (traits, equipment etc) and perhaps the achievements.
To me, everything that affects in-game should stay in-game. The election Kiel/Evon was nicely done for example.
“Whose Charr is this?”- “Ted’s.”
“Who’s Ted?”- “Ted’s dead, baby. Ted’s dead.”
well it is true that including too much of social networks to the game sounds frightening to say the least, but I was thinking about this from another perspective, like how our characters got to know the name of this new dragon and how some of the theories from the forum made it to the game in the previous chapter of the LS, I think it would be kind of cool if they turned the forums speculations and theorycrafting into the voice of “the people of tyria” from time to time we get some really cool theories here, and would be fun to see them as towns people gossip and whatnot.
