Hello peeps,

I just want to point out that the Breaking the Ice meta event in Frostgorge Sound is somewhat broken.

It is used as a farming spot currently. Where the defend phase is deliberately failed so that people can keep farming for loot. I seem to remember this was against anet policy. Deliberately failing an event to keep farming I mean.

This makes it worse for people doing the LS event for Dragons Reach Part 1 as completing this event is needed for the story.

My question is can Anet fix this event + farming…?

Expect it to be nerfed within the next week or two. Probably with the return of LS in October.

This issue is already known as there are a lot of threads on this particular issue, so feel free to voice your thoughts there!

If people are struggling to complete living story because of that, I suggest to find an empty map and taxi people who want to finish the event there. Disrupting other people’s farm for the sake of doing good won’t yield good results either – the event will be farmed on more maps because no one knows when it’s going to be ‘fixed’ (read: nerfed/ruined).

If the people trying to disrupt these event farms really believed they were making the game better then I could understand their self-righteousness even if I didn’t agree with it. But what I’ve seen is clearly trolling and totally indefensible.

Errgh. People shouldn’t have to go out of their way to play the game as it’s designed.

Tell the farmers to go else where. They can farm other places. You can’t do the living story in other places.

Saying people that want to do their living story need to try in a different map is basically saying they’re in the wrong.

LS don’t return until 4th of November hopefully it will be sorted before then I don’t do it and have nothing against the people who do but it seems many of the threads in this forum at the moment are something to do with it.

But many people go out of there way to complete it to annoy the farmers so you may be lucky enough to run into them if you want to complete it or you could check the other threads where the same names keep popping up and try adding them on friendlist and getting a taxi

If there were that many people going out of their way to troll said event then the frostgorge train wouldn’t work as they would troll that too – in reality no one is that interested in trolling – just saying. And calling people who complete an event “trolls” is kind of funny.
