Yeah it was a long while. I think they aren’t releasing because it would screw over sellers listing stuff for 1,000g. They had to make a big financial commitment just to list the weapons.

You mean the all of (checks the TP) 35 people who have one of those weapons listed right now? Who might not even be playing the game anymore to care about it? Somehow I don’t see that as a good reason. Especially when they’ve made it clear that vanity items can be released whenever ANet wants to and you sell them for a high price at your own risk.

I’m still playing. My Fused Greatsword is the cheapest. Buy it please ^^

he may have a pt, gw2 new direction has kind of been aiming at the elite and being sure those players feel rewarded over others for their time/effort/jus cause

Why should that matter? ANet has frequently changed markets in the past in ways that make items more accessible to more people.

Take a look at the Aetherised Weapons for starters. Once they started dropping in fractal boxes, the price crashed from 2200g to 88g on a Longbow skin. They should definitely add the skins back to the BL weapons specialists, ie open the back room.

Edit: Yeah, I bought mine for like 600g, so I was a bit peeved when I saw the price had come down so much, but I got over it. Same as when I crafted Arachnophobia for 250g worth of materials, then they added it to the Mad King chest the next day and it was 25g on the TP. Things change, people get over it.

There’s certainly no reason to not add them back.

Add them back to the rotation, please, ANet.

I really want to finish the collection and I’m not getting sucked into buying them off the TP – not after what happened when ANet finally re-released the Aetherized skins via other acquisition.

I want them to be at a reasonable price, not thousands of gold… sigh.

I very much would like to see fused, zodiac and sclerite weapons back. They never were available for a long time (they were gone before the black lion achievements got added)

sclerite weapons would be cool as well. those were short lived.

but i really like the looks of fused weapons and i never really jumped on them when they available

I think they should bring them back similar to how they brought back the aetherized skins. Make them available from some in-game content so that they can be earned.

i’m not against this idea either. it just stinks currently cause if you didn’t get them when they were readily available u are just sol right now.

I have a Fused GS, and a Zodiac Longbow. Both of which I got for under 50g (one was a drop). They are account bound, as I have applied them.
I enjoy having skins that are really rare (I’ve only seen the Zodiac Longbow on two other characters in the last couple years).
That being said, I do think the skins should be brought back. I like my rare stuff, but it’s not fair to other players.

No, fused never dropped. They had the worst blc rng that every existed in gw2. And I think (not sure here) that zodiac had been blc rng only too. That’s why I asked how/where he had them as a drop.

I would love the fused weapons to be brought back to the game. These weapon skins are no more exclusive or prestigious than any other black lion skin. With the passage of time, supply has dropped too low and prices have risen far to high. Bringing them back will bring to prices down to reasonable levels and bring back a cosmetic option that has been effectively gone from this game for too long.

“Drop” may not have been the best choice of words. I don’t remember where it came from, what I do know is I didn’t pay gold or tickets for it.

If they decided to add it as a rare drop, I could see them coming from Fractals, except now it’d be too easy to just farm the molten bosses and experimental weapons fractal.

And I doubt players would want more skins coming only from fractals.

As far as re-releasing em for tickets, most other skins that were re-released in the past were done so in relation to some event I think, like chaos/tormented weaps were re-released together with something (I forgot what, and the relation was loose at best lol)

So maybe, if a new living story chapter brings back something related to Scarlet and the Molten Alliance.. perhaps sifting through old research, finding an old lab, where we accidentally release a champion, all in hopes of finding more “weaknesses” or something.

there is something to wat u are suggesting, and personally i don’t think its bad, but i can already hear the qq from the community: “oh now anet can’t even make new BL skins w/ their content they are just rehasing old skins” etc etc

of course, any new method to get fused i’d be a fan of, unless its tied to raids, or rng after a HoT meta event, already enough of that

It’s possible you got it as a PvP reward. The wiki is a little vague (after being updated so many times since then) but it has a black lion claim ticket that links to PvP as well as a fused weapon claim ticket that links to black lion chests.

They were a horrible drop from the chests, or you could’ve gotten 7 tickets to buy one from the vendor. Either way, was a pain (i farmed my tickets btw)
