Please fix and clean up Lion’s Arch. I think it has been a ruin for far too long now. And why is the Fort Marriner waypoint still contested? Other then that I have no complaints and will adapt to changes. I miss the splender of the former Lions’s Arch.

The sight of LA on the first day of this year’s Wintersday was the single saddest thing I’ve encountered in this game.

It would be nice if they at least gradually repaired SOME parts of the city. Fix a few buildings one month, fix the bridges another, ect. Right now the people are just hammering away with nothing actually happening.

I’m actually impressed the devs stayed their hand and left it still in ruins. Sure more progress has been made, but I’m kinda glad it wasn’t quickly fixed in a few months. Hope to see some progress next year and it looking new and different.

I am no computer dev, and I guess it might be too hard to do, but I would love to see some gradual improvement, a bridge mended here, rubble cleared away there, that type of thing to make it look as if the workers were actually achieving something.

LA has the most weired building technique I’ve ever seen. Their workers hammer on one point and somethings else in an entirely different place gets rebuilt more or less. Seriously they work on the same bridge for months now and nothing happens. I know I know this is not really “rebuilding” something, but it’s more and more feeling like everyone including the developers has given up on this city.

I would love to see LA come closer to its former glory. Was a beautiful place. Even now, thought tarnished it has some level of charm, but is nothing like it once was after a cataclysmic event. Even though a lot of work seems to be going into rebuilding it since, very little results are now being seen. I wonder if LA is a metaphor for something else…..

Passive-aggressive dig aside, I have to say of the LA versions I have seen, the old main one is my second favourite. The old version with Mad king Thorn has to be my favourite, and would love to see a return to that in a Halloween in the future.

For those who haven’t been paying close attention: the reconstruction has indeed been progressing, albeit slowly. Every time I run a character around the city, I notice something that wasn’t there a month or two ago.

It’s hard to notice unless you run around and look, and it would be a great help if there was a little more focus on cutting down the rubble and patching holes.

Maybe it’s the same team that is working on wvw that is in charge of the Lions arch construction crews, hence why we see little to no progress after months and months. Oh wait, can’t be them, there is actually some progress in LA!

I wish they would have left LA in ruins and turned it into a normal world map with Mobs. Would have been so much better. Then they could have built a new capital city elsewhere

I love Lion’s Arch. It’s close to my heart in so many ways, and has been for years.

I feel sure that LA is not destined in remain in ruins forever. But I do appreciate that all the hammering and sawing and carrying on by the workers doesn’t seem to be making fast progress!

Like you, I’m looking forward to seeing the city in its normal beautiful form someday in the future.

It’d be nice if each 2 week patch something was fixed, like, some holes in bridges that I fall through all the time when I have my inventory open…

Can we have at least the closest waypoint to the only guild bank location in the city fixed? There are several bank locations all over the place, but the guild bank access is only in Fort Marriner. Please, do something about it.

For that guild bank – fastest way to get there is to map into your home WvW zone and take the portal out back to LA.

I know it’s a bit of a load – but for many it’s faster than running about around LA.

You can go to the guild registrar by where the old mystic forge/bank was and access your guild bank

In the spirit of Lions arch being made with what’s on hand(previously ships), I’m hoping that the new version has alot of black citadel type architecture with all the pieces of scarlet’s breachmaker lying around for building materials.

This! I hope it stays this way, Lions Arch be kitten ed. At least the other cities aren’t ghost towns now.

LA will get rebuilt. Just hoping it’s a wonderful amalgam of new! Pieces and themes taken from each race with a foundation of DR. LA was too dirty and dank for the hub of the game.

I never liked lions arch, I hope it stays like it is or falls into ruin.
It represented cooperation, peace and all that nilly-dandy, seeing it in ruins brings warmth to my heart :´)

show us some repair progress. that will make it more immersive.

I doubt it would be too hard. Program wise, they do this already with things like the giant vines in Silverwastes. They just need to code a specific model from switching from version A to version B (much like destructible objects, though in this case in reverse) with an animation to fit that (probably the typical swirling animation that goes with most rebuilding event animations).

The hardest work, I imagine, for such would be to create all the visuals for all those stages of development and structures.

You sure? I’ve been pretty observant – or so I like to think – but have only noticed changes occur during the Festival of the Four Winds update. After that, I haven’t seen any change.

If there have been changes, they need to be more obvious then.

If you’ve been following the Living Story you would know why it is the way that it is.

Please no, it’s so much nicer to have a hub where all the useful things are clumped together.

Please fix LA. It looks terrible as is, and is a generally unpleasant place to conduct everyday business in. Old LA was far better.
