Bring back the Hall of Monuments
The home instance could have been this, and supposedly was going to be improved upon early on, but you see what that’s become… Honestly, some of them feel rather half-hearted in even the initial design, let alone any improvements or advanced features.
So, yeah… Not sure if the HoM itself will be brought back (at least any time before the Jormag expansion), but they should either completely reimplement home instances or cut their losses on those and give us a new personal instance to utilize. Perhaps a monument accessible through the mists?
A shame fun things could not simply be fun.
I disagree due to the temporary nature of season 1 many of those titles are unobtainable. I started this game during the Toxic Nightmare and thus I have achievements related to the Toxic Tower. Adding that type of reward track would just bring further light on the fact that practically 1/3 of the entire game was temporary and places like Lab Cliffs, Toxic Tower, SAB, and even achieves titles tied to certain holiday events are simply out of there reach.
HoM is physically in the game already for those who played GW1 and such a concept would require more content in game as titles are far to easy to obtain and nothing truly feels difficult. The only title I’m proud of are the ones transferred from Gw1 and a title system would also mean people would have to go back to Gw1 to unlock and fill out that title achievement tab.
Maybe after they implement season 1 back into the game but I really don’t see that happening anytime soon if ever…
it is possible they are planning on rebuilding it, as the content for the HoM is currently not usable, leaving it as just a pointless area to warp to now, but its also possible Anet will give new players the chance to play season one with a gem based instance lock, its not impossible but until we see the scale of HoT first hand we wont really know what Anet has planned for us
@Zarghoul.5687 – Agree. It should be in the home instance, and home instances should be more customizable. It could use the same customization code as the Guild Halls will.
