Why is the Lion’s Arch infamous fountain still MIA?

Dragon Bash and it’s subsequent interruption has ended over a month ago. At that time the Asura replaced the fountain with the giant holographic projection device. But, since it’s inoperable right now, why is that HPD still in LA instead of being moved for a installment of the fountain?

If memory serves correct, Mad King Thorn has a knack for destroying the LA Fountain (as he so ruthlessly did last year). We have about 1 and 1/2 months until that cackling nutjob pops up again for one more round of “try to escape the Mad Realm”. We would like to see the fountain reinstated so that it can be experienced for the short period before once again it gets destroyed.

I wonder if that poor fountain has feelings.

He gets destroyed then replaced, only to come back to be destroyed again.

I agree. At this rate newer players aren’t even going to know there is a fountain, I feel like it’s spent more time destroyed or replaced than there.

It kind of made sense from a lore perspective for the projector to stay there after Dragon Bash because LA had other things to deal with. But after Cutthroat politics that’s pretty much sorted – they’ve got their full council back and Scarlet and the Aetherblades have moves on to a different target so they could easily bring the fountain back.

That fountain was annoyingly noisy and the lion’s face creeped me out. I do not miss it.

I miss the fountain. It was one of the better areas in Lion’s Arch. Bring it back, please.

They so need bring the Lion back it was just too awesome!!

I didn’t like fountain. Lion was ok, as it is symbol of the city but rest was weird.

Why would the Mad King repeat his entrance this year? That would be utterly boring and totally not his style.

Personally I hope he will spawn in another city this time. LA has had enough time in the spotlight already. DR just did and Rata Sum is coming now. So it’s either Grove, Hoelbrak or Black Citadel.

Hooray! I saw the LA fountain was back last night

The poor thing has a month and a half before it starts to melt and get corrupted then blow up for Halloween.

Maybe the LA repair crews will be quicker at bringing it back since they’ve had more practice lol

A good point. It would be rather cool if he shows up in a different city each year. Imagine how the charr would react to having their impenetrable capital city visited by the Mad King?
