Bring the zerg back to the open world zones
Have you not heard of the “Map Bonus” system? Cause thats exactly what it sounds like you want. I believe it was partly in the last beta. Someone feel free to correct me if im wrong about that.

As someone who has written off Immobulus as a lost cause, this makes my day.
the open world is great, but the monsters are placed so far apart from each other and its really a horrible experience to farm stuff in open world cus of this reason.
unless your doing a event on certain classes there might be hordes of mobs for you too tag and it might be worth it.. outside that i think Anet should revert their change they did 1 or 2 years ago and put mobs back in place that they have removed..
i mean right now it kinda feels like go from event to event game just some grind on a spot doesnt really exist anymore sadly. Events for some classes are horrible also cus they cant even tag quick enough in order to get loot from mobs before they get smashed to the ground in 1 mili second.
So like Map Bonuses?
i think they should get rid of the TP. Because even with map bonuses, if the most lucrative avenue for farming gold is still SW+TP, why would people bother about map bonuses?
TP essentially destroys the looting feel of gaming. It’s like the AH in diablo 3. People start to see their farming as a means to get gold to buy something off the TP instead of actually adventuring into the world, fighting epic monsters, getting that awesome loot.
gw2 is like playing a game of economics, like real life, like getting a 2nd job.

I agree with OP, there’s too many dead zones on the map. Put in a few world bosses to liven it up.

You are playing the wrong game than
You want epic bosses that drop specific epic loot? Play runescape. They have a MUCH BETTER loot system than here.
TP will never ever go away, get rid of that dream right now.
This isn’t a loot hunt MMORPG, you are playing the wrong game if thats what you wanted.
Nothing here is epic in terms of loot. All the drops are scraps.
There is no truly unique drops you can go and farm for aside for like frac skins or teq boxes lol.
Everything is scraps here. Greens and blues turn into scraps. Same with yellows.
You can even get a precursor from a deer.
GW2 has never been about farming a specific awesome item, I don’t think it ever will be.
