Bug report pointless?
ArenaNet Communications Manager
Hi,
The in-game bug reports are read daily, but we do not have the means or the time to respond to each one. Please know that there are team members reviewing the reports, and in fact we’re working on a few small issues related to Wintersday right now, based on in-game reports kindly submitted by players.
Thanks for using the system — it really does help us make the game better by smiting those bugs, large and small!

You should only post real bugs and not things that are as intended.
And seeing how many bug reports are daily made a response by a dev for each of them would be a waste of time they could otherwise spend fixing them.
There are also as far as I know no German developers so a response on the German forum is even more unlikely.

I remember reporting a bugged invisible stone with inside out texture In Timberline a year ago when I started the game. Been there recently – it’s still there.

So things like the forever bugged events in Bloodtide….why do we bother submitting bug reports for those?
Despite having seen this event nearly every time I"m on the map, it is always broken. http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Save_the_merchants_from_the_Bloody_Buccaneer_kidnappers
Despite having put in a bug report on this several times (including several very close to launch)…this event remains broken. Why does this event even exist if you can’t fix it?
That’s great that you read them daily and are fixing wintersday bugs, but as Khani says, what about the events that have been broken forever? Needless to say there are quite a few and I’ve submitted quite a few bug reports for many of them.
I would love for Anet to have some sort of bug log, a list of the more common bugs that have been reported over the last few months, and which have been addressed. There are many reports of bugs that have been in game for a long while, even since launch, and would be interesting to see what bugs are still in that have been reported. Of course, some are higher priority than others, and that should also be reflected in any list.
Perhaps if that is successful, they can look at other issues players have, how long those issues have been going and how they have been addressed.
These are arduous things to produce, certainly, but I feel something like that would be a way to show that bug reports, and feedback generally aren’t pointless. Less about individual responses, more about proving that the assorted bugs and issues have been addressed.
The kind of people who will set an orphanage on fire after locking themselves inside it.
Actually after just what happened in the bug section im thinking that bug reports are useless,
If this is how bugs are dealt with going forward is there much point in reporting them, when all we get told now is its for the best, and lock the topic….
Remember the whole topics about communication on the forums, what happened to that.
I keep hoping anet would makes a bigger push for bug fixes, this annoys me to no ends, to encounter the same reported bugs over and over every day, and the many others constantly, its incredibly frustrating, more so for ones that impede progress trait unlocking for example. Hire more people if you have to.
Honesty is not insulting, stupidity is.

Your message is pointless. What do you know about the bugs that I reported? And a german forum need a german team to read the bugs.
@ Turamarth.3248: respond to you was pure wasted time.

You reported non existing crafted aqua-breathers as a bug .. but they were never in
game so its not a bug. Its nearly the same as if you report a bug that we still have no
mounts.
Personally i think they should simply remove aqua-breather and let us use our helmets instead.
Best MMOs are the ones that never make it. Therefore Stargate Online wins.

Additionally to what Beldin said I was referring to your complaint about the price of the Mighty Infusion.

- Like Gaile said, they will read the bug reports daily and then go fix wintersday bugs. Your bug is not a wintersday bug.
Lots of bugs that I’ve been seeing ingame and been reporting them aswell, perhaps 40% are fixed, the rest are still there, and most of these reports are from two years ago...
Same goes for reporting bots, hackers, gold sellers, keep seeing (not all but a few only) same people who are using hacking tools.
