So Anet

… Adds creates MEGA … whatever (was all about them saving money on their server hosting bills) but they Bill it as a HUGE improvement for us …

… adds Collections … super .. However I don’t ever remember asking for anything remotely like this.

Also I love how almost worthless items b4 collections SAM, Arah Pendant, ect ect ect suddenly Skyrocketed to 500g BEFORE this was released … sounds like some employees shared the info or took advantage of this and cornered the market prior to becoming general knowledge.

However the real problem I would like to discuss is that if we want to work on these collections … we need to go do these event chains .. No problem I enjoy them and that being said … It is hugely annoying to try and do Commissar and/or Ogre Wars and find them constantly bugged (why are these still bugging?) … I check the IP and/or try and guest to another world to try and find an IP that is currently working but to no avail.

How bout YOU implement some sort of option to down-vote a broken IP so after so many votes it immediately creates a new Mega and then the migration begins
into the new Mega … New people entering the zone can’t get the broken and all the people in the current broken Mega get prompt that the current IP is slated for closure.

Or even better an OPTION to see Other active Megas (IP’s) of the same zone and then join them (sorta like districts in GW1) and if there are none .. have the option to wait in que for creation of a new mega instance and if there are say 10-25 people in said que .. or 30% of the zone pop a new mega is created

Just some thoughts .. … and also .. please fix the search feature on these forums please I honestly can’t believe that there isn’t a single post in any of it with the word Dredge or Broke or Ogre and dozens of other basic gw2 terms … but alas .. the constant No results found is AWESOME.

I have been a long time player of gw1/2 and I do understand that Anet is a business and making money and staying alive is a core concern for any business.
But in my opinion there has been a massive failure somewhere within your company and with the management of gw2.

You have abandoned so many popular and amazing things from gw1 to gw2.
Simple example Design-a-Weapon contest. you get items to sell on the gem store
That your customers ACTUALLY want and the players do all the work.

Don’t misunderstand I love your product & love your employees (99% of the time) however as a longtime player I feel that you have really stopped listening to your player base and huge % of what is a high priority for you as a company and consequently your staff .. has nothing to do with what a large % of your player base is concerned about. Keep it up and people will get bored with your game and go elsewhere … already I regularly hear references to “Wait Wars” and other derogatory terms as applied to your product (also the dozens if not hundreds of people that I’ ve witnessed get bored and leave for a competitors product.)

Just some thoughts

Hope its helpful

I’m confused. What is the bug you are reporting here?

Edit: Ahh, now that’s the thread has been moved, it matters not.

Good luck.

Post was moved – to discussion … but the Bug originally was various bugged Megaserver instances that just stay alive forever.

Buried under the main rant is the complaint that many DE’s tied to collections are bugged. Such as Foulbear which is still intermittent. A legitimate complaint there.

I don’t share the complaint about megaservers (which are an excellent addition to the game imo) or the collections as a concept (something that was suggested on these forums a long time ago).

I made this post, and basically was told these have been bugged for a very long time:

I don’t understand why Foulbear and Dredge were taken off of the world boss schedule. I don’t even know how to get the events started, but every map for ogre seems to be bugged. GG Anet, putting an item in collections when you can’t even reliably complete the event to obtain it.

A dev is looking into those two events. They were never part of the world boss chain because they required people to do the event chain to spawn them. Dredge only showed up on the old timer when it spawned and Foulbear only came up when you got to the part to destroy the huts.

I also hope that the devs look into the Dobbs event in Timberline Falls and the Devouring the Brand meta-event in Iron Marches while they’re at it. Those events also almost always seem to be bugged.

The thing with those two is that there isn’t collection items tied to them.

The Dobbs event does, actually. The merchant at the end sells the Ancient Stone Summit Spike needed for Treasure Hunter.

The Devouring the Brand isn’t linked to a collection, but it IS needed to unlock a trait, and it’s unfair to force players to have to buy it because the event they need to complete is bugged 99% of the time.
