So, since the changes a few days ago to the enemy dropped loot bags, I’ve seen a little bit of an imbalance in loot % chance when opening them.

I gathered 50 bags, then opened them one after another into a clean inventory. I received 93 Butter! 19 Blue Crafting items, and 23 common crafting items. A huge difference since the change went into effect for sure.
I then gathered another 57 bags to try again, but this time I got 79 Butter, 24 Blue Crafting items, and 24 common crafting items.

Surely I’m not the only person who has a bank full of Butter and stacks of Butter in all my characters bags?

So my boyfriend and I aren’t the only ones experiencing this. That’s a relief, I was starting to think we had been cursed by the Evil Butter Faerie!

I noticed I started getting tons of it too. Now, I like getting butter since I don’t like spending karma, but… maybe they could half it? :P

If the Mods didn’t like my original title I’d have opted for something more original like “Butter Butter Everywhere!” or “WTS: Butter”

Might as well be the risen bovines in Orr having their lower-quality milk being sold for cheap. Explains why some zombies carry butter.

I lol’d. I think everyone who has been playing the game a few hours would know what the thread was about if the title had just been “Butter”.

But yeah, I have the butter bug too. It makes me want to kill the cows to stifle the supply, but I’m afraid I’ll just loot even more butter.

Now if they would just replace the butter with those keys we all need, life would be good.

On the plus side I have a ton of butter and chocolate…I think they want me to make cookies!!!

I’m over 400 sticks of butter since the change. I also have almost none of the crafting items for all other professions that the rampant butter frenzy has replaced. Please, please scale the excessive butter down and raise the crafting items like fangs back up in the loot bags. >.<

I wouldn’t be too concerned about an abundance of butter. I don’t have a lot of use for it, but at least it’s not a problem to find when I do want it.

What bothers me is that it has seemed to replace the other crafting profession drops like jute and leather scraps. I have tons of butter and very little cloth and leather.

Butter does not make good armor. Please scale the drop rates down… just a bit would be appreciated.

Yeah. Completely tired of loot bags dropping butter about 80% of the time. Also chocolate seems to be about 10% of the time too so that leaves just a remaining 10% on the drop table for craft materials anyone actually wants to get.

Glad to know it isn’t just me having bad luck with the loot bags . . . I find it funny how since the change, butter is now in the “top supplied” items list on the TP. So I think there may be a bit too much of it in those bags! xD

Butter is nice and all, but there is just too much, and I need other crafting materials a lot more than I need butter! I miss how much jute and leather I used to get out of those bags.

I think it’s getting worse. Just opened 24 bags and got 60 butter, 2 Blue Crafting materials, and 13 common crafting materials. :P

They butter fix this soon, or the price is going to somehow drop to 0 bronze.

OT: Is it a very common crafting mat for chefs (I have one, haven’t really gotten started with her yet)? If so, it might be best to save up all that butter.

Sounds like you guys need a butter substitute to your butter problems maybe some margarine?

For those of you that are too young…. it is in reference to the “I can’t believe it’s not butter” comercials with Fabio.

Yea… ever since the butter change I see about 25 butter (and chocolate) drop for every other crafting material. It’s really funny since I feel ArenaNet is secretly telling us to go make cookies.

Every time I open a loot bag and I get cloth, leather, ore or rare crafting materials I feel like Fabio.

Ahahaha yup,I think the vendors wince every time they see me comin now.

yes please lower the drop-rate on butter it’s way too common

I am so glad it’s not just me! At first I thought I was just being unlucky with drops but glad to know its not the case. I agree the drop rate needs to be fixed because it is too much xD

I was very sad when i found that i can’t buy any butter from the chef vendor in towns. But i had like 50-60 sacks from the Grawls outside of town… yes, they saved the day and finally there was some cake in town. Bless the sacks because they are full of butter.

Which is sad because i miss the blue crafting mats…

Then I took his butter. Silly centaur.
