Put a confirmation screen on it kitten I was checking out armor and thinking i could preview it I double clicked it and bam, just bought light armor I don’t need -_-

Yeah, don’t you love how you can never get a refund for anything? I accidentally bought the wrong manual and had to sell it on the trading post for way less than I paid, just to get any money back at all.

I don’t know why but this made me laugh.

Anyway just salvage it i guess.

In every game I have played, double clicking purchases the item. It does not preview an item. You have been playing this game for how long again? And in your entire time playing this game, when has double click previewed an item?

The reason is not important, the point here is that double clicking shouldn’t purchase without a notification, i didn’t want the item it was never my intention on buying it, most items have notifications when you want to buy them, actually if you click buy you get a notification but if you double click you don’t, this is something that needs fixing.

And stop being a kitten, there are actual problems with this game that blind fanboys can’t see.

Trust me, I am far from a fanboy. And wasn’t trying to be a jerk about it, was just going off what you wrote from your OP. If you found that insulting, then I apologize.

In your OP, you state you were trying to preview the item by double clicking it. I was jus wondering why you thought that double clicking an item would preview it to begin with. From your post history, it shows you’ve been here for 4 months or more. In that 4 months time, I was curious how you didn’t know that double clicking buys an item, not previews it.

But you’re right about the confirmation window. And to add to that, they should have a refund window as well. In WoW, you can sell back items you bought with VP within a time limit for a full refund. They should do the same in GW2 with Karma/Tokens. This way if people buy the wrong item, they can exchange it back within the time limit to get their tokens back.

Or a simple confirmation works as well to make people double check their purchase.

Don’t blame Anet for your own mistakes and be glad they’d even think about putting in this kind of feature for people who aren’t careful.

Easily solved by a pop-up window where you can enter the number of items you want.

I’d like to add that confirmation windows would be a nice thing. I accidentally used an Abyss Dye that I wanted to sell. I was playing with a trackpad where a 2 finger press is a right click and a 1 finger click a left click. Due to lag I thought I hadn’t clicked yet, so I clicked again, but I missed by 1 finger, so it was a double left click and I used it, instead of opening the window to sell it on the TP.

I make sometimes doubleclicks without intention. It is not a big problem, but I always fear that it could happen in the wrong situation.

For buying with tokens, wasn’t there a confirmation window for short time? I am pretty sure, but yesterday there wasn’t one anymore.

There’s one if you click BUY on the bottom, not one for double clicking. Seems like something they’ve forseen so it’s best they know. Like that guy said this isn’t 1999 most MMOs have this feature.
