Is there a way to purchase a copy of GW2 for others?

I want to buy a copy of guild wars 2 for those in my gaming community but don’t know how that works.

Is it possible to buy an activation code off the site and give it to them?

Yes it is, i just bought a CD key for my boyfriend.

You basically buy it for yourself, they email you the CD key, you give the CD key to who ever you want

most of my gaming community is spread out across the continent so it would also have to be a digital copy unfortunately

I believe you simply buy it, and you then send the key to the person you want to send it to. They can then set up their own account.

Thats exactly what you buy. You buy a CD key. You give them the CD key, they use that to activate the game, and then download it.

so when i provide my email in the purchase it doesn’t get revealed by giving them the key? its as easy as giving them a key?

You’ll receive an email with the CD key; the email contains the link to Register their new account, the amount paid, order number, date of sale, and the CD key You can just forward that email to them (they’ll need that info if they ever have to prove they own the account, anyway).

I just did it for my waifu.

It doesn’t; it’s just letting you buy the game. You provide your email during purchase simply so they have somewhere to send the email with the proof of purchase and key. Once you forward the mail to your friend or send them the code, they’ll set up their account using the link and info in the email.

I enjoy this game so much that today I bought another deluxe version just for fun I will play some PVP on NA servers and maybe someday I will convice my girlfriend to play it with me

If you want to buy an account for someone else but you want to activate it and everything, just create a new email account and bind it on it. Once you have some friend who would like to play it, give him the accounts for mail and game, he can change the password and it is done
