I am looking to get some opinions on which graphics settings in GW2 are the most CPU specific. I have an AMD 8350 and GTX 970, but I am looking to get the highest frames (even with some downgrade to visuals) because I have been playing GW2 in VR on the oculus and want to hit a constant 75 FPS.

Which of the graphics settings are more CPU heavy? Thanks

Character limit and Character quality are both heaviest on cpu i reckon, put those to low to avoid crashes from happening aswell when alot of people are in the same place ( WvW/Boss events ).
Reflections to Terrain only
Shadows to medium might give you a small fps increase aswell.

You might want to oc your cpu aswell if you haven’t already, they’re made for it.

In large groups of people I’ve found that, oddly enough, turning off Show All Player Names gives me quite a boost to my FPS.

Ya, I have my CPU OC to best that it can.

I also have always had friendly names turned off lol.

Reflections and Shadows as well. Especially Reflections on all.

But primarily displaying other players around you and their fully rendered appearance rather than the generic placeholder. Character Limit affects the number displayed and Character Quality affects how many of those are generic or not.

We are heroes. This is what we do!
