Asuras are cool, but sadly, all the nice looking armour and weapons don’t dont really shine on them.
Nothing on character creation screen “forces” you to slect human. No arrows point towards a human, neon signs, nothing.

Their statistics show that more people play norn than charr…

Charr and I presume Norn have stupid camera issues in a 2013. game. I never had issues when playing a Human or Sylvari.

So actually what you were trying to say is: Anet, are you forcing us to play Sylvari, Human or Asura?

Not sure I follow your camera issues. the Camera mechanics in GW2 are not perfect, but they tailor to the size of your character.
Played all, and never had a problem. Depends on resolution, screen size perhaps.
Max height/bulk norn male here, finished Liadri. I did not notice any camera issues during the gauntlet. I also have no issues in jump puzzles. I actually prefer doing them on my norn over my smaller human alts. Maybe because I have been playing a large norn since the first beta weekend I am used to it? Its not that bad at all.
As usual, the OP’s point seems to have eluded posters who fail to read the original post. The OP’s frustration is with the major camera issues faced by charr and norn.
Frankly, the OP has a right to be frustrated; the camera veering into a wall or into the back of the character model (or flipping out and jumping spastically between those and a normal view) during a jumping puzzle – or, worse, during a fight – is an oft cited complaint that one would hope would get some attention. It does seem like ANet’s testers must not being using some of the bigger character models.
Max height female norn here, managed to beat Liadri but i will admit that the camera was an issue for me, however, i managed to kinda tone down the impact of it by removing my shoulders and helm and by moving the camera to the left.
That way i was able to zoom in to the max and still see the boss

Didnt read the post??
Own a Charr also and its horrible in gauntles..
(i am more kinda kitten about the armor clipping problems) but yes the camera is very annoying on Charr and ofc Norn..
Why did they make the roof so kitten low in it?? why not make it bigger? its indeed FREAKING!! annoying to see your back or head for 80% of the screen all the time..
I was just mad about the most stupid issues like camera ones. As a player, I can’t imagine you can create a content where most if not all races have camera issues. If I was a boss, some people would get fired over that. Luckily I’m not.
Anyways, I’ve let some steam, time to move on. Thanks for listening.
I wish they would add a vertical camera slider to go along with the horizontal one. I’m not even sure why you would need a horizontal slider in the first place. I agree that the camera is wonky, but i don’t think the issues are limited just to bigger character models.
Jumping puzzles on a Norn. Jumping puzzles on a Norn. Jumping puzzles on a Norn.
—what Jack Torrance actually typed in The Shining.
Yeah, the camera function in relatively small spaces with larger character models has been a ongoing issue since launch. I basically made a asura just so I could get through jump puzzles with less frustration than with my main charr engi. Hopefully Anet can figure a solution, though at this point I am not holding my breath since they seem so focused on pumping out content every two weeks I don’t know what resources they have dedicated for polish and bug fixes and the like.
The constraints you have when in tight places (dungeons, gauntlet, JP), really does make it difficult to complete an objective. That I definitely can agree on
Welcome to the “I hate the Mario 64 camera club” been around 12 months strong and apparently getting new members by the day.
