Don’t know you can’t equip 2 of the same kind, and I don’t want to wait another 5 days to have enough fractal relics.

Do you mean you don’t WANT 2 of the same kind? ‘cause you can wear 2 of the same kind you just can’t double click equip both since double click equip always takes the same ring off/puts it on. So drag the second one to the slot you want to wear it in o-o

the same unique item can’t be equipped twice.. in theorie.. as all ascended rings are unique, I, and apparently the poster as well, assumed it’s not possible to say equip two khilbrons philactery or whatever.. I thought that’s the whole reason they created two separate rings each of all stat combinations (each with an off and def slot). haven’t tried it yet because I keep dropping different rings ;-)

so you’re saying unique doesn’t count with rings and we can equip as many as we want?

I never knew/heard about not being able to equip 2 unique items (I’m not even sure what would be considered unique). But with other exotic rings I could and have equipped the exact same 2 rings. Now I want to try and see if I can do that with ascended rings but all I have is a variation of a bunch

can someone confirm whether you can or cant equip to identical ascended rings (preferably with kitten maybe?) i would really like to know this

The rings are unique, so you cannot equip two of the exact same ring, eg. two Red Ring of Death at once. If you want the same stat combo you need the other ring with those stats, eg. one Red Ring of Death and one Crystalline Band.

Agreed, and actually this goes into another problem with Ascended gear….it’s always Account-Bound. I understand why, but it’s extremely sad that when I get an Ascended ring I don’t want, I can’t do anything with it except vendor trash it. And because of it being Account-Bound, I make less money off of that Ascended ring than I would off of an Exotic ring sale. That seems rather backwards to me.

I’d like to see an exchange system whereby you trade rings you don’t want for rings you do want. I wouldn’t expect a 1-to-1 trade, naturally, maybe make it 2-3 unwanted rings in exchange for your choice of ring. This would help cut down on the grind for a specific ring or ring set, as well.

unique items have this as a tag. it’s written above (I think) the binding status (soulbound, accountbound etc). if you don’t see the text unique in the item information, you can equip as many of it as you like, if it has, only one unique item with the same name may be equipped. at least that’s the theorie and by the posts here I’d say it still stands.

apart from ascended I’ve only ever seen one unique item: the ancient karka shell – you can’t equip two of those (if you were so lucky as to loot the chest and get the compensation mail – or overflow swapped to get multiple chests)

actually, I’d prefer them to be salvagable and have a (halfway decent!) chance to drop one of the mist essence materials (vial, globs, shards) – as I still need quite a few of those to get the infused version and have horrible luck with drops. that way, rings I can’t use wouldn’t be worthless and I could finally get some resistance (don’t want to use an infusion which I’d lose as soon as I upgrade the item – seems just too wasteful and quite frankly bad design)

The Mad Memoroies (or however you spell that) is unique too, though sure since it is a backpack and you only ahve one slot for it that is kinda redundant :P in fact the only items where unique would really ahve any real effect is for weapon, rings and accessories, since everything esle only ahve a single slot anyway to put them in
