Hello! I did make a sad mistake today, I have farmed 25 Laurels to buy a WvW ring that need 250 Badges.

I did already have an Laurel ring, and I did buy the same ring
Its many days farm because 1 Laurel = 1xDay and 250 WvW Badges take times too.

Anyway to send back the ring and buy that ring I want?

However, AFAIK, you can upgrade that ring to infused status. That way you can wear it.

Yes. But only infuse one!

I did same thing the other day myself then compounded the problem by accidentally soul binding both whilst trying to equip it^^ Its only 25 days of laurels no biggie and stat diff is half of fk all anyway so I just vendored it and sucked it up. My fault for not bothering to read/think.

Last time i checked one ring infused and one non-infused of the same kind could be equipped at the same time. Unless it has changed, it still works!

Did you infuse only one, or both?

More relevant to this situation. Infusing an item only gets around the unique if you have to craft the infused weapon in the Forge.

You have to infuse it in the Mystic Forge, not infuse it with an upgrade.

Placing an infusion in the ring and inherently infusing the ring via the mystic forge are two seperate thing.

Inherently infusing via the MF will yield a new item, for example: Red Ring of Death (Infused) This new item still has an infusion slot available.

Placing an infusion into a ring will not make it a new item. It will still be a Red Ring of Death, only it will have it’s infusion slot filled.

You can equip two unique items. For example: One Red Ring of Death (with the infusion slot either filled or not) and one Red Rind of Death (Infused) (Which can also have the infusion slot filled or not).

You can not equip: Red Ring of Death (with the infusion slot filled) and a Red Ring of Death (with the infusion slot empty). They are the same unique item.

Complicated I know.

It IS true if you infuse a Ring you can have two Rings with the same name on. By infuse of course, you need to use the Mystic Forge to do it, not just put an infusion in the infusion slot.

Yeah I meant infusing by putting it to the forge. Blame Anet for calling a forged ring “Infused” ;(

I hope you didn’t waste laurels on an infusion

Just run level 10 fractals once per day to get rings.

You might get a refund. Contact support and explain what happened to you.
Several players that made the same mistake by not knowing they couldn’t equip the same ascended ring twice have been compensated.
