I am not happy with my main character and I was wondering if I delete him will I lose the name forever or can I re-use it?

You can reuse it – I do this a lot for placeholder lowbie alts.

You can re-use it, assuming someone else doesn’t take it in the seconds before you re-name your next. Which is completely unlikely.

i think it is reserved for 24 hours for you but this i am not sure of

if you delete him you can re-use his name. I’ve done it before, so you should be able to as well

Yes you can delete your character and you will have access to that name for 24 hours. After that time anyone will have access to that name.
