Having recently came back, I see that the wardrobe is available. Can I safely delete items such as the celebration hat and witches hat which say “Skin Unlocked”?

Skins in the Wardrobe cost a Transmutation Charge. (Except for those that state ‘Free to Apply’.)

Skins outside the Wardrobe will allow you to apply them, once, free of Transmutation Charge.

Thus, check the skin you wish to delete beforehand, as you may be destroying a free application.

I have already done so, they’re in your wardrobe and unlocked…go ahead and delete if you like.

in addition to Inculpatus, you might want to hit up the Black Lion Armor(smith?) dude near the trading posts in the major cities (not sure if LA has one, I couldn’t find him in vigil keep when stuff was there, and haven’t checked new LA out yet). Stuff like the celebration hat/witches hat that you mention will get converted to a free skin application item (like the zenith ones you get after choosing it from the AP choices), which will unlock them, but if you destroy them you’re wasting that free trans charge.
