Seconded. I want several badly but I am not going to pay a lot for them.

Well actually the price is lower in GW2 than GW for name change contracts. GW2 it’s 800 gems or $10 American. In GW it has always been $14.99 American no gems they did not have them in that game. They also did not have NC Softs Gem equivalent either. So if you think about its not a bad deal.

Well, I’m from a 3rd world country so I can only buy gems with gold (USD are super expensive here, it was crippling enough to buy HOT T_T)) it takes me waaay more to farm enough gold for 800 gems than 640…

I’m pretty sure that they haven’t been discounted in 2 years or longer. Since they weren’t part of the March sales|discounts, I’d imagine that they aren’t going to go on sale any time soon.

The most likely times for stuff in GW2 to go on sale are:

• March Madness
• late August, for the anniversary of GW2’s launch
• Late November, Black Friday and Cyber Monday, traditional sale dates for US businesses
• Late December/early January, corresponding with New Years, Wintersday, and various RL sales and events

Again, based on the last two years, I don’t expect to see the contracts go on sale again.

Even if it goes on sale, it won’t be that much off. Likely 20% at most, to 640 gems. If 800 gems is too much, 640 won’t be that much better.

Maybe you should consider deleting and rerolling. If you have tomes you can use them to get to 80 and then you’ll have the name that you want and a level 80. It sux to start over like that, but if the name makes you unhappy enough, it may be worth it.
