I have read on the wiki and Dulfy that you can only make the enchanted map once per account. Can people confirm if this is true?

If it is true, I want to know why? It seems short-sighted since it would give people who have multiple characters another thing to do.

I thought it was only for collections which are for achievements which are all account bound. That would be the reason.

I don’t think it is part of any Achievements, but the Key can only be found/used once per account.

The map itself isn’t a part of the achievement. The key which you get shortly after completing the map is.

You might want it if you want duplicates of the key for stats; it’s a Soldier’s item, and only exotic, though.

The Key can only be found once per account, so once you have it, feel free to sell any spare map pieces you find.

Ah I didn’t realize. I don’t have my key yet, because I can’t get the Ascalonian map fragment. And I’ve opened about 100 chests in Ascalon so far.

That’s all it’s for? I have like seven map pieces clogging my inventory… let down

Cool, so there is a way to get more of the dungeon accessories. Was wondering what would happen if you delete the one you get (or want more for other toons). Haven’t finished a dungeon collectibles yet so I haven’t been able to test it out.

Cool, so there is a way to get more of the dungeon accessories. Was wondering what would happen if you delete the one you get (or want more for other toons). Haven’t finished a dungeon collectibles yet so I haven’t been able to test it out.

How much/what do you have to give to get another one?

They’re the same price as the ones thru the Laurel Vendor (40 Laurels + 5g)…wish the guild commendation option was there too though.

You can also get extra copies of the recipes you unlock thru the grawl, Hylek, krait, etc collections. Those are 4 laurels and 10 silver (I think, not entirely sure though).

In fact, if we are only supposed to be able to make one map why allow us to get multiples of the same piece at all? Why not get 1/4 and have it trigger a mechanic so we don’t get any more of that piece? This method seems manipulative – like they purposefully made it this way to encourage us to buy more inventory space or something.

You can’t. The NPC in Lion’s Arch only gives you an item to unlock the spoon collection achievement and it doesn’t count as 1 of the spoons you need. I’ve talked to him afterwards and he has nothing more for me. His only purpose is to let players know that you need to get certain items to unlock some achievements because they are hidden and you don’t know about them until they are unlocked.

It would be nice though if the map pieces weren’t account bound and could be sold in the trading post. This way players too lazy, or not having luck getting that 1 piece they need, would have another way to get them. On the bright side you can sell the map pieces and completed map to a vendor for a little silver so it’s not a complete waste. The drop rate of the pieces is pretty decent actually. It may take a few chests to get a certain piece you are going for, but from what I’ve seen you aren’t going to have to open hundreds of chests to get it.

You need to unlock the other rewards first. He definitely sells the ascended accesories from the finished dungeon collections, for example.

Just because he sells ascended accessories doesn’t mean he sells this exotic one. That’s why I’m trying to get a confirmation. I’m pretty sure people have completed the collection.
