Guild Wars 2

Hello,
I bought GW2 yesterday, but i’m unable to download the big 25GB, because of my internet cap, is it possible to go to a friends house later today and copy over his game finals onto an external hard drive and copy them back onto my desktop, will this method work, like it does to World of Warcraft?

You will still need to update the game before you are able to play after you have installed it from a disk

Yes you’re able to copy the file onto an external hard drive and place on your computer. There should be a single .dat file that contains all the contents. I’ve done this a few times with my computers at home. No fun downloading the game twice!

I think you’ll have to download the client from Gw2 first, install. Once it’s installed place the .dat file into the Gw2 folder.
