I don’t see whats problem here. Everyone has right to ease their soul here and express personal opinions.

There will always be unhappy people, many of those complaints are perfectly legitimate and simply poorly worded.

A business should aim to please their customers. Every one of GW2’s players is a paying customer, and they have the rights of a customer to offer feedback and comments on the product they have purchased.

Few people have the gift of offering constructive criticism and feedback without letting emotions run high, that’s just how people are.

Time is money. Players are investors. Explain much?

Can’t handle feedback? Don’t make an MMO.

That this game was released as B2P and GW1 had payed expansions ever half a year.

However in stead of GW2 truly bing B2P and having paid expansion say every year it has become more of a F2P game where all new content is free but the hole game suffers for that approach.

So what if the ‘whining’ is exactly about the fact that it’s all free content. The reason you give why people should not ‘whine’.

Theres going to be a lot of people disappointed that the game doesnt fulfill their wildest dreams of what it should be. The only thing you can do is let them keep headbutting what they think is wrong, ‘cause they sure as hell wont stop if you tell them it’s anything but.

Civility beyond this point is an impossibility. The devs keep the obvious trolls to a minimum and everyone else is very articulate, even over what I’d personally consider small matters.

Actually, Guild Wars (One) only released one campaign six months from another. The others were all longer apart, including the one expansion. I’m sure we all want to be factual when we throw statistics around. =)

Or you could listen and try to make it better. Especially since it turned out much of those complained where right after all. (Anet said themselves they where bleeding new customers. There have been many ‘whiners’ ‘whining’ about the possible reasons for that for a long time)

True it was between half a year and 1 year. But I also talked about GW2 releasing expansion with about 1 year so with that in mind it seems irrelevant as I was only pointing out what people could expect that because of what they had seen in GW1.

Now If I said people would expect a GW2 expansion every half year you where right and it would be relevant. But because I talked about 1 year expansion it’s not.

Not to mention that many of those people ‘whining’ for an expansion have waited for over two years. GW2 has now taken longer to release an expansion then what the marked in general does while for a B2P game (a game that focuses on game sales for income) you would expect faster releases, not slower.

I wasn’t addressing anything about payment models. I was only addressing content delivery and the fact that some people seem to be cross that the deliv system isnt like GW1s.

In regards to the OP, I feel that this being a F2P or Subscription game has nothing to do with it.

The forums are for discussion, not for complaining about every little thing.

More often than not, very serious issues get overlooked by Arenanet staff because they are completely buried in topics whining about nonsense.

…and while I feel like this thread isn’t helping any of this, I definitely don’t feel that this thread in unwarranted.

You guys need to man up, and stop crying about every little thing.

When you start your own MMO you can run things the way you want.

Please try to consolidate some of your complaints to existing threads, or actually have a discussion for once.

There will be an expansion. GW2 is making more money by not having a subscription fee. Kitten. They just managed to waste “years” by figuring out what they can do.

GW2 expansions are mainly new areas on map and theres plenty of empthy Place for those like ring of fire, far shiverpeaks and so on.. it really does not need any other maps for long time if ever and still can be give rich content.

Yeah indeed Living story (that came after the release!) is what they have now instead. That fits more with a F2P model.

The game was put on the market as B2P. Yes that is a change people complain about but it’s a change that came after release when people had already both / invested in the game. So they can complain about that if they like.

After not playing LS since the end of LS1 I decided to run through all of LS2 taking my time….a lil over 4h later I had it finished, not including the farm and achievement hunting, mini map zerg things that I don’t consider really worth my time.

I would have enjoyed and gladly paid for an expansion a year ago, plus.
