Can remove AC until you fix this bug
Tip: Don’t start cutscene/dialogue until she is out of combat.
This works every time for me. It’s when people run directly to the middle of the room that she bugs out. If a guardian has hammer or staff, they can normally force her out of it. We had the npc at the end of CoE Path 1 bug out last night after we defeated Alpha where she just stood at the entrance to the room and not initiating the final cutscene to get our rewards. Our guardian used one of his hammer skills to un-bug her.
I have only run each AC path one time since the re-invention. It went from a dungeon that could be done by a moderately skilled group to a dungeon that you need a good, coordinated team to complete. Nothing wrong with a good, coordinated team, but they took all the “casual” out of the game’s most casual dungeon. Just not fun anymore. :-/
This is why people like CoF P1 so much. It’s easy, fun, and can be done VERY fast by hardcore teams…or not so fast (but still easily achievable) by casual teams.

Would you mind saying which skill and how? Usually when we get bugged npc we bring it to mobs so it dies, but clearly in a case like that it’d be impossible and really frustrating.
Path 1 can still be done by casuals. They just have to learn the mechanics of the bosses and events.
For the spider queen, do not stand in the poison puddles. Before the update, you could stand in them and take very little damage. They were very underpowered. Just look for the red rings and dodge out of them. You should not take more than a tick or two of damage. Her immobilize attack is a cone type directly in front of her. Try not to be in front of her.
Her attacks always follow the same pattern. She’ll do the poison puddles and then about 8 seconds later, the immobilize attack. With enough practice, you can anticipate when she does this. Having condition removal also helps as this will be important to have in higher dungeons. Better to practice now. Also clear all of the little spiders and flame turrets before you spawn her.
For defending Hodges, have someone with a lot of armor kite the mobs on top of the mound in front of Hodges by the entrance to the room. Under no circumstance should anyone ever go near Hodges. Go around him. Having an Ele with ice now helps a lot. Utilize your dodges, condition removals, and stability.
When running to the next section, go left into the hallway and not go right directly into the room. Otherwise you spawn oozes and waste time since they must be killed.
Gathering the scepter pieces solo is a challenge if you don’t time your dodges or have stability. If everyone but one person goes for them, then it should be manageable. Some people will likely die but you’ll still complete the event relatively easily.
Skipping mobs to the final boss will require proper dodging and stability. Condition removal works but you need to be quick enough to use it. Run as a group and support each other. Swap to skill that allow you to skip mobs and help your team. This will be good practice as you should be using skills based on each situation rather than use one set the entire time.
For the Howling King, fight him in the open area. You will need the room. Do not stand in front of him we he breathes. He has a noticeable animation so this is easily avoidable. Condition removal and stability help with the gravelings. To instant kill them, lead them into the fire rings that the npc casts. Use pull/push ability to quickly bring them into the fire if you have them. Do not ignore the gravelings and let them overrun your group.

I do not know as I didn’t ask. It had a symbol so either #1 or #5. Staff #5 has also helped with stuck npcs. We often used it to un-bug the one skill point in Orr.
